LOL. Its not really a popularity contest per se because you can only pick 1 person and u can't pick the same person every round. So.. its not really a popularity contest because theres a good chance someone HAs to pick u. If u are the last one that doesn't get picked well.. too bad. After all it IS a game. So the objective is to get rid of your biggest competitors.
