And I just found another one of Paul Moss's
Tweets that says Pharrell could sing the next Bond theme. Jesus Christ... If that's true I just might shoot myself. Honestly, why would they pick him of all people? I need another "Skyfall".... I could not do a "Happy" 2.0.... I can see it now. He's going to do a dark version of "Happy" that's just as bad and we'll never hear the end of it. I think he's so overrated. As a producer, I don't mind him, but as a solo artist he is so freaking annoying....
And in response to the Maroon 5 comments, I agree that their older stuff is their best stuff in terms of quality and originality, but I like their newer stuff more. I listen to it more. But some of the songs on
Overexposed were a bit messy. My favorite album from them is
Hands All Over, without a doubt. My mom got the deluxe edition for her birthday a few years ago and we listen to it all the time. "Misery" remains one of their best songs to date. And the one bonus track "No Curtain Call" is also flawless. Honestly, that's one of the few albums that I can listen to all of the songs on it without a problem. If they can find a balance between that and some of their older stuff on the new record, I'll be happy.
I just want the lead single this summer, but at least Linkin Park's new album comes out this summer, as does Maroon 5's new single (and their new album September 2). When does Quarter 4 begin, exactly?
