I only wish you started it with them meeting some way, just for chronological sake, instead of headfirst into the thick of it. BUT, I realize with an 5 song EP that can be hard, so, narrating a story while it's in the groove of it is probably best. Ending it with death though, girl.

first of all I would like to compliment you for submitting despite going through those things. I hope all is well now.
The logo of the record label looks very cool and it’s a great addition to the project. What I admire about all of your entries is that you stick to your persona and always, and I mean always, include those little details. Like for example Kitt’s crusty coochie. Your entries are always fun to read, and this was no exception, though it was more depressive but still written from the same Funky that submitted that Rihanna entry a few weeks. Or the same Funky that submitted the gif entry. Your entries have a recognition value which is a great thing.
The songs flow well together, the genre is obviously R&B. What I’m missing though is a highlight song. What I mean by that is… in EPs there is usually that one song why the EP even exists. Here I cannot see that. I liked the storytelling - the death of the woman is a bit random, though.
Overall a good entry.

We Need A Resolution is so perfect for your theme too (messy ass replacement song in Spotify though). I love the little touches of the release date, the quote, the 808s and Heartbreaks symbol, “editors note,” and credits to each song. Just want to let your know those things go unnoticed.

after the rollercoaster ride you have gone through in this season of Les ATRLers I think you have finally found your potential from last season again. Finally, and I’m glad it happened because this EP is exceptional.
You have thoroughly thought through this and I can see and read the effort you put into this. I see you chose the R&B route for this EP, like FunkyDinevo. The highlight song (for me at least) would have to be Last Night, though every song you picked was a good decision. I loved those different chapters you mentioned and it made perfect sense. Your explanations were amazing, the writing style and expressions.. great. I also enjoyed those little details like: Streaming links; Writers; Album covers; Editor’s Note; etc. Those things add up and elevate this already incredible EP.
There is nothing negative I can say about this, well done.

I think what really sells this particular motif though is your personal connection to something so serious. But, I need to say, and I'm not saying this applies to this entry at all, but I hope you understand that objectively these kinds of themes—particularly with music challenges, are tricky to judge because it's not only a personal matter but one concerning to factual issues so it can feel almost tactic-like.

oh wow, I didn’t know you went through that Hurricane. It must have been horrible. I’m glad you survived.
I can see the message in this and it’s a really good one. I can’t help but to compare this to T-Swizz’s great entry from season three. The topics are not the same but the strategy is. You are the third person to choose R&B now, must be a trend. You also seem to have had a deep thought process. However, as a marketing strategy I don’t think you have delivered musically. I appreciate the concept but the songs don’t flow well, or more like the songs that you picked don’t go well together. And sometimes I felt like some of the songs missed out on the topic that you were trying to convey.
It is a solid entry and what you have written is amazing. I just didn’t like the flow.

Hello Anna,
you came back from season one and have ever since delivered in multiple occasions in this season. This entry is no exception.
Despite the fact that German songs aren’t really my cup of tea, although I’m living in Germany, this extended play was very well put together and I enjoyed listening to it. You took a risk by picking songs that the majority of the judges wouldn’t be able to understand but you know that already. I think it worked. The plot was cute and based on a real story, your story. It was authentic, enjoyable and musically interesting.
What I think was unfortunate (and the reason I had to deduct some points) was that you had to stick to one genre but in this case there were multiple genres. Sure, you could say German-Pop is a genre but I don’t think so. There was some pop/rock, alternative, hip-hop songs I could hear. Other than that I think you did a really good job. And if I remember correctly you always do well in these type of challenges. You can express yourself through music like it’s nothing. Well done.

Yeah..I think an explanation accompanying each song would've really been beneficial as it would highlight each song individually. But, I realize giant overall paragraph at the end serves just as well. You literally could take a few sentences in the order it's in and add it to each song sequentially so it still works imo.

when it comes to written entries you always submit useful things that the majority of us enjoy reading through. However, you missed a simple direction in the challenge description which will eventually hurt your position.
First things first, the song choices are everything. This was my favorite (along with umich’s) EP to listen to. The topic was really good as well. It’s still current. Is that you on that picture, by the way? Looking adorable. Let me stay on topic, what I think hurts your entry (and probably its only but huge flaw) is that you didn’t explain the individual song picks. You did have a text which explained the topic of your EP but there was no real plot. The task was to have a plot and explain the song decisions and why they go with the plot. Unfortunately that was not the case with your entry.
Overall I can say that the EP itself is good, the task wasn’t fully accomplished, though.

finally someone who has a different genre. You seem to be the frontrunner in the competition but you haven’t always been consistent.
I appreciate your effort and how you opened up. The songs went well together, and I felt real emotions in this. But I didn’t feel the connection. Maybe it’s just me but I was left a bit disappointed in terms of your text and your entry overall. You kept it simple which is fine but when I compare it to some of the other entries it does fall a little flat, not gonna lie. And it’s not easy to say this because this was personal and I know how strong you usually are and maybe I’m the only one who thinks this way about your entry.
The main issue is that the whole point of this challenge is marketing and that’s what you missed out on. The EP itself is great, like I said before the songs go well with each other and you did a good job in the selection. But selling the EP to us… I’m not so sure.

Stay tuned.

I know Rih's live vocals haunt you in your dreams but comparing her to Freddy is just mean.

Little details and Kitt's coochie can never go together in the same sentence.

okay but how you gonna drag me for marketing when Bomb, Funky, and Anna didn't touch on it either? If you wanted me to add a paragraph about an iTunes link for my entry about a father killing himself, then you're just not gonna get that.

And Kitt, DripDrip came away from my entry knowing what it was about. So I'm just gonna chalk it up to you judging last minute again, I forgive you tho!

I know this makes it look like I can't accept criticism or something, but I know the entry wasn't perfect or anything. It's just super disappointing to be told your songs work, your genre works, but "something" doesn't.

I really wouldn't know who to eliminate, even if I had to pick them personally. You've all been really strong until here.

Probably. I could feel that was something I'd have to take in but yours was the entry that I hadn't previously skimmed through before today so it was all new.

Basically, father kills himself, and the next four songs are reactions from his best friend, mother, wife, and son. Based loosely on the last 4 stages of grief (anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance).
