I dont even Think Gaga has to worry about the first and second singles cause us fans will eat it up quick and buy it ! She should just do a small promo tour for the first single since its gonna be her lead anyways so it should do good on its own ! The second single she should play it safe with the single choice & do another small promo tour

I agree. It's just amusing to see someone do what Gaga tried to do but so much quicker and efficiently ya know? I think she'll do much better next time around. I have faith in her.

If I were her, I'd launch the era by performing the lead single at the Grammys and Brits because those markets need to be won over immediately to ensure a successful campaign, then promote the second single in Japan and Australia to keep those markets on board, and when the album comes out do a full on promo tour including Germany and France.

The second single should do well in the US/UK off the back of the first, but the third single will need a bit of a boost. If we're following the BTW timeline, the 3rd single should coincide with the VMAs which'll be perfect, and the 4th will land in Q4 with all the promo opportunities available to support it.

She needs to win back the UK, and it should be easily done if she debuts the lead at the Brits, does Glastonbury and then returns for XF in Q4. If she can bag an ITV special a la Beyonce, she'll be sorted.

i agree with this 100% ! she doesnt need 100 performances this time around she just needs a few so the era doesnt look overload !

Exactly.

We need selective and more effective promo appearances. She doesn't need to go on every talk show available, especially not early on in the campaign where it'll get lost amongst the noise, and therefore redundant.

It'll retain her mystery and intrigue by being more elusive, too. It was great for us seeing her so much, but someone on her level should be a rarity on screen and her interviews should be special. i.e. Beyonce, Britney, Madonna. You could tell by some interviewers attitude that they didn't bother doing their research and asked her inane questions. Would they do that if the interview was more exclusive?

The reason the BTW promo was such a mess was 'cause none of the songs were catching on and it seemed pointless. If the music is good, the promo will work and be awesome. I mean, I don't think there's such thing as "too much promo" as long as it's actually working, lol.

Most of the US campaign was done in places where it never would have had an effect.

Much of Ellen's demographic probably had it from the album. And NYE, people were too busy getting wasted to buy anything like MTN. They would have only bought PRA and SAIKI, because those songs were... more appropriate for the occasion.

She had the opportunity to perform on something where the promo would have meant something toward music buyers, like X Factor and the AMAs. But she didn't. That's all there is to it.
