I always wonder why excellent UK artists don't go for Eurovision. I know it's considered 'cheap' but it's a great way to receive some recognition and build a fanbase. I means smaller acts like Dua Lipa, Natalia Kills etc.
UK doesnt even take Eurovision seriously. They know that they make great music and dont need this recognization. I think they are just a honorary member and give other countries space to show what they can do. Imagine if they really went in, noone would have a chance.
Russia is in very hard position, the bias is very clear (in both ways - pro and anti, so it kind of outweights), but they keep submitting solid songs.
Ukraine, similarly like Austria with Conchita won only thanks to controversy and politics.
Ukraine won because it's a great song and emotional. They send a good song every year so they deserve to win
Why is Frans the most successful act this year? Anyone got an answer?
Like Sound of Silence, it's a song you'd hear on the radio, easy to listen to and pretty catchy. The studio version is pretty great, he is a bore performing it live though.
I was just thinking..if Michal Szpak had any balls he would've started completely in the dark, and one by one colours would light up to the climax having the rainbow flag. I mean he's gay, he sings "what are your colours of your life" and then only comes up with black and red with a bit of white....

Oh no I wouldn't like that, that would come off very cringe and cheesy. But then again, his whole performance was that, so why not!
At least I would then be more closer to understanding how he got so many points in the televoting.
Listen hun, the UK and Ireland gave the bottom of 2015 Polish song in the wheelchair 10 points in televoting and it's not because your taste is so different, it's migrants.

But he said he is not. I feel confused just like him ...
in the different sense though.
