I'm still so damn pissed about her messing up most of the BTW singles. Like, it could have been a PERFECT era
Let the little manager let it all out

:
The only single that was released on point and everything was
Born This Way. #1, 4M US, 9M WW.
Imagine if after BTW, she would have released
The Edge Of Glory as the official second single, but not as soon as Judas so that it won't overshadow BTW which was still huge. With the right promo, the initial video project which included a hospital, a doctor, mermaids, a big pool and army men: INSTANT SMASH. #1, 3,5M in the US, 7M WW.
Then it would have been
Marry The Night's perfect time to shine (at the beginning of August, a bit earlier than You And I was released). A proper release when the hype was still there and the radios would play the song and a showstopping VMA performance would have guaranteed a Top 5 hit, about 2,5M in the US (something on You And I's level, a bit bigger) and definitely more copies sold WW than the local Y&I
Scheiße would have been the perfect 4th single. It has potential, international appeals and could have definitely assured another Top 10 for Gaga in the US and in a lot of other relevant countries all around the world. Also, an amazing EMA performance of the song would have done wonders for it.

She could have ended the era with
You And I just for the fact that it's sort of a Gaga staple right now and it's recognized as a hit in the US. It is something different, something totally opposite to what she's been releasing her whole career and another side of her that the public can appreciate. You And I was the type of song that had to be a single sooner or later. It would have been perfect to end off the era and still get a top 20 hit in the US.
Ok. There you have it
