• Rock-A-Bye Baby mixtape, due Summer
• Balcony music video, due September (let's be real, this is not happening anymore)
• Untitled Sophomore album, due Winter???
• Lola Monroe collaboration (promised by Lola, due "soon")

Things that will actually happen in 2013

• Lola Monroe collaboration will be released
• Cassie will sing the hook on a few more rap songs
• Cassie will appear in music videos for other artists
• Cassie will shoot more magazine editorials
• Rock-A-Bye Baby and her sophomore album will not be released, but we inevitability read an interview in which she talks about how different the music is and the growth and how she can't wait for everyone to hear it. :\

I wish Cas never mentioned the darn mixtape in the first place. :\ We're no longer struggling for an album, we're struggling for a mixtape. I'd much rather all effort and anticipation be put into the album, rather than a mixtape because I think Cassie will feel as though she appeased her fans with the mixtape and doesn't have to put out an album for quite some time... as opposed to, "I'm on my grind, I released the mixtape and the album is on schedule to be released soon, in _____ and I'm sticking to it!" 7 months from tomorrow will mark 7 years since her debut, and if we don't have her album then...

I think the mixtape is just pushing the album back. A mixtape doesn't usually come with good music videos, or promotion, or going on radio shows, or TV, or singles. I want all that. I want the album. I just want to relive the 2006 Cassie era again -- hopefully much better -- as best us fans can.

I don't think the mixtape is directly pushing the album back, but I think that if Bad Boy/Cassie struggles to release a sophomore album, why throw a mixtape on top of that? Why not just focus on the task at hand, which you can barely do in the first place? (i dunno if I'm explaining my points properly)

All her videos have been excellent, and the singles too. And she does go on lots of radio stations when she puts out new stuff officially (of course she always goes to the ones that are likely not to play the songs ever again) but still... She puts an effort when she does something, just not the kind that we want and for an artist in her situation. At least she did peform KOH once and showed improvement which is a lot for her even if she hyped the promo campaign to no end acting like we'd be getting a new performance every week during the Summer.

i'm just kidding joao. i'm just very frustrated with her at this point. she has an amazing opportunity and for us on the outside who don't know all of the details, it seems like she's taking the opportunity and her fans for granted. we're approaching seven years and she's been making empty promises. it's annoying.
