How would that happen? It's not her song and people still remember it. If she wants to rerelease something it should be "Whatever U Like." Most people have never even heard the song.

What gets to me is, Ciara & Kelly Rowland have had the worst sales and they keep releasing regardless... Yet, Nicole still struggles with repackaging an album for stateside release(8 years now & counting). I really can't find the logic behind her/their decisions. Good songs like 'Pretty' & 'One More Shot' will probably never get to see the light of the day. Ugh. So unfair.

They have a pretty good urban following though, something Nicole won't be able to get and they had huge solo hits on their own aswell.
She just never seems satisfied and wants that big hit before releasing an album, but it won't happen at this point of her career anyway.

It shouldn't be that hard. Just get Sia or Bonnie to write her a song, let it be produced by Dr. Luke, Max Martin or some of the other major pop producers, tag Pitbull or some of those feature wh*res on it, film a steamy hot video full with choreo, and I think she could decently in the US, aslong as she gets the right promo.

U think she can afford that? Max Martin and Dr. Luke don't come cheap

It all depends on how you spend the money. Her label won't make a budget for her to afford a complete album produced by them, but it shouldn't be hard to make a 10-track album and invest a little more money in like 2 to 3 high profile produced songs.
Her major problem is that nothing catches on, which delays the album in the end. If she would be able to have atleast the first two singles with extreme commercial value, then atleast her records would come out for once.
At this point of her career a solo top 10 is a faraway dream, but she atleast could have decent to at the best moderate succes, which gives her a basis to put more records out.

I get that, but its not like she has never had any success before. Though it wasn't solo, but she got quite a lot of attention. Had she released all those scrapped albums, I'm pretty sure her situation wouldn't have been this bad..

If the record label is willing to risk and invest in her, it shouldn't be a problem to enlist them. Ciara has worked with Dr. Luke and she hasn't exactly been on top of the charts in a while. But I guess for her its easier since she has worked with him before.

I agree with you, had she released the scrapped albums, she would have had a basis to release more music. There are so many struggling artists who release their stuff in the end, who overall have done worse than Nicole would have done, if she had released her singles and albums at the original releasedates worldwide.
I wouldn't even call it that much of a risk anyways. The most important thing for a record label is to make profit. How can you expect someone to even get succes, if you don't give someone the resources to be able to get material to get money out of it. I mean Dr. Luke is also someone who she has some first circle connections with, since he is involved with RCA (her label in the UK) and he is along with Robin the creative brain behind G.R.L.

Exactly my point. For Nicole, it's not all black & white. But at this point, what we get is what we get from her. We can't ask for more because we end up dissapointed...
I agree. I think its what Interscope failed to do. They have massive stars like Eminem & Lady GaGa and yet they couldn't get her a collab...
But I do feel its not as easy as we may think. It might happen that some artists may not want to be associated with others because of certain reasons. I don't know. It's what I personally think/feel...

I know it's not that easy, but I mean Nicole basically has worked with everyone in the business at this point, whether for her own material, PCD or features. I think just the problem is that she scraps too much material down the line, which makes it less fortunate to invest on the long run

If she/they at least released the stuff, she would have at least developed a small fan base and wouldn't have that forever shelved joke attached to her on the Internet. I can't even play Killer Love on Spotify.

Nicole can work with anyone she really wants to, its really just up to her in all honesty. Money is not an issue and was never an issue when it comes to recording, especially for a label artist like Nicole Scherzinger who has recorded hundreds of songs previously. Money becomes an issue when it comes to promotions, like music videos and the promo campaigns. For big mainstream artists who aren't struggling to pay their rent, getting the right producers and staff is more about connections, logistics.
For f*cks sakes Nicole hired The Dream and Trickey Stewart on her own and they don't come cheap either, without a record label support, I'm pretty sure money is not an issue especially now that she's under a big label. Nicole also worked with Timbaland and RedOne, she recorded entire albums with them, those guys are not cheap either. You guys are making it sound like Nicole is some amateur artist on YouTube or something that can't pay her rent (i.e. Nicole has to choose either record a song with Max Martin or save up for groceries?). Nicole still has potential under the eyes of the record labels, or else they wouldn't even bother signing her, I'm pretty sure they're willing to invest in her too. At this point the only thing I can think of for Nicole's lack of solo success is just her timing when it comes to releases, she really needs to stop shelving albums and just release whatever she has already. You don't need heaps of money to become successful, you can literally spend millions of dollars on an album and promo and still flop.

Nicole paid for BFL out of her own pocket and since Tricky and The-Dream are her friends and haven't work with each other in years, I doubt it cost that much. Also, Nicole never recorded an album with Timbaland and she just recorded a few tracks with RedOne for Killer Love, which was funded by Interscope. Being signed, especially onto a label like Epic, doesn't mean you'll get proper funding.

The fact the good sis rather sleeps on 1000s of songs than to share them, she basically is having a holiday again, and I get it's good for her to spend time with family. But this solo music career thing is like the biggest struggle ever.
I mean someone new as Tinashe just produces a mixtape during her christmas holidays and just pushes it out and Nicole scraps one record after an other and we end up with an other trainwreck era in the end, because of wrong descisions and basic (mis)management
