Fashionably late to the party as always.

That would be pushing it too tight, though. Too much going on at the same time and a big damn struggle, for sure.
The soundtrack will get promoted along with the movie. I don't see why the movie or its soundtrack's lackluster performance would really affect R8 negatively either. Just two completely different, separate projects from a well-established artist.

There's more to an album release than just sales. If you really love an album and artist you will support it. Justin Timberlake released The 20/20 Experience in Q1 and it was a huge success.
An album in late February isnt so bad if its promoted well.

The "surprise/long-awaited" comeback is what brought the buzz, which translated into strong sales at first. When the material didn't quite live up to the expectations, the second release took a hit. At least that's how I see it.
That oozing stan optimism is adorable, but the logic isn't really bulletproof. Then again, there's various ways to "support" an artist, some of which aren't all that favorable to the artist in the end...

I don't get why you pay so much attention to what Adele is doing. Sure, there's no reason to release back-to-back weeks, hell the same month, but that's it.
