On reflection, BIM really should have been the lead.
I agree, if she had made it such an event like she is planning to now, it could have smashedT. but I'd still want LFL as a single eventually.
Anyone who thinks LFL isn't single worthy:

Oop, I guess it's time for another list
Lead sings:
Like A Prayer > Hung Up > Live To Tell > Frozen > Secret > Erotica > Music > Everybody > Like A Virgin > Living For Love > American Life > 4 Minutes > GMAYL
Live to Tell > Erotica > Like a Virgin > Like a Prayer > American Life > Frozen > Secret > 4 Minutes > Living for Love > Hung Up > Everybody > Give Me All Your Luvin'
I think this contradicts some of my ranking of title tracks I'm very bad at making overall favorite lists because my mind always changes and it also depends on my mood

GGW should have been MDNA's lead, but should have come after the Superbowl which should always be reserved for the artist's best known classics and to create hype for new material, not as a platform to premiere it. IDGA should have been the second single, and GMAYL - although I actually really enjoy it - should never have existed. Love Spent and Gang Bang should obviously have gotten video treatment too, Beautiful Killer could have also been second single if it had been on the standard. Would have needed a remix and killer (pun intended) video though.
BIM should have totally been the lead of Rebel Heart with the plan that it has right now, then LFL, Ghosttown, UB, VVV, DP, HT should have been the selection to choose from afterwards. I have high hopes for BIM though, it could pull an Irreplaceable and be the era saving third single, but equally it could flop harder than anything. I don't care at this point though because it's just a fun song and will be a camp video, and she's delivered a great album and will, I'm sure, give a killer tour also.
It's a good lead single, the song itself anyway. The video and performance were just a bit lackluster for Madonna making a 'comeback'. Good concept, but needed more of a storyline.
If the thought and effort that went into the Ghosttown era as a whole was put into the promotion and video of LFL it could've gone high end of top 30 in my opinion. But there's no point dwelling.

It was her first performance of "Everybody" after getting a record deal. She'd been hitting the clubs for a few years at that point with various bands and a solo management deal.
