Nah idk there are enough reasons for people not to like her. For the most part, I think it's just fun to pretend to care about the remaining tributes in the Disney Games, and it's only natural that most would "support" Selena since she's more attractive and makes better music w/ non-grating vocals.
Plus, I'm sure there are plenty of people who really don't care enough to hate on Demi who pile-on because it's just fun to have a communal punching bag that everybody takes turns having a go at. It's why kids in elementary school will all come together to bully the fattest/slowest one in the group.
