It depends one whether you have enzymes in it, technically it would prevent spots but it wouldn't get rid of them

In your spots/face or the toothpaste?

It's just normal colgate paste... And my face is just normal skin, slightly pale than others, but the lighting makes it look more pale.

it doesn't prevent spots, like you don't cover your face in toothpaste like proactive to try and prevent them, it's like spot treatment. If you have a blind spot, or one that won't come to the surface, you put toothpaste on it, let it sit for a minute or two and then bam. It's drawn to the surface

Yes, but some toothpastes have enzymes such as protease and lipase which would break down the grease and prevent spots, no?
