Ah that's brilliant her charting top 5 with Primadonna and number 1 with Electra Heart! Shame Primadonna hasn't clicked aswell as I thought it would here in the UK. It's down to 14 on iTunes now but it's still holding up well. Just Rihanna has rocketed up the chart, thus her going down a place.
Few other things, she's in a beauty parlor, hopefully we'll see the emergence of a new hair style. She's also 3,500 copies ahead of Lana Del Rey as of today. I hope she gets good number 1 sales.. I'd hate for a Bionic situation.
I don't think the sales will be huge because sales are quite low at the moment but all the #1s in recent weeks have had lowish sales. I reckon her first week sales will be similar to Ellie's first week sales of Lights last year which also went to number 1.
However for an artist like Marina being able to say she has a number 1 album certainly gives her an added appeal and sets her up perfectly for this era.
Even if Primadonna doesn't stay in the Top 10 through to the end of the week, it looks a bit more hopeful for the album so fingers crossed! It's down to 12 on the itunes chart but that's only a small percentage of albums sales anyway.
At least Ireland knows good music when it gets it.
