Definitely sounds like Dirty Hippy will have a "chill" kind of vibe. The kind of music you'd listen to while smoking weed. If they approached The Smashing Pumpkins' lead singer that's definitely what I expect and it also sounds like her talent will be at the forefront of it all.
And I'm absolutely here for it and i'm even here for the album being called 'Dirty Hippy' although that'd be my last option I know Miley and I wouldn't put it past her lmfao
I'm so looking forward to M5, I want good music, great writing for her and it to be critically acclaimed. IDC if she wants to wear stickers or w/e, I just want amazing music from her and the praise and credit that she rightfully deserves
I still want my 'Diamonds'-like first single tbh, and if that means making the Twinkle Song the first single im all for it
Queen of being in control of her career (poor K$, though ).

I feel like the next tour is probably going to be a joint tour with The Flaming Lips. Y'all should get on board with them tbh. Their music is pretty incredible and it might be hard to stand her this era if you don't. I think this joint tour will slay.

Yeah, I feel the same way. Getting into their music would probably help us predict the sound of the next album, as well. I really like "Yoshimi" and I know they're a GRAMMY winning band but I just think they're rejected by the majority of the Miley stans because they think he's an awful influence for her (it's kind true, tbh). But at the same time, she's an adult responsable for her own actions, so...

Wow, I was thinking about how Miley was kind of a marketing genious during the beginning stages of Bangerz. Shamelessly promoting the date of release of her comeback single at the BMA's (JUNE 3RD, JUNE 3RD!) asking for followers, trending topics and retweets every time we wanted news about the album daring us to break the "We Can't Stop" VEVO Record to get an album title and tracklist we already knew about using every single negative headline for her benefit releasing the Director's Cut of every video when they reached 100 million views revealing the "WCS" single cover at Time Square . What a Queen . I hope she has that same drive.mp3 when it's time to make M5 / Dirty Hippie a huge success.

I feel the same way. I want to be a music marketer so that was one of my favorite things about her. Hopefully that girl is still somewhere in there. And in terms of the bad influence, Wayne has said he's not on drugs (besides weed) anymore right? And you should check out "Do You Realize" and "The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song". Those along with "Yoshimi" are my Flaming Lips trinity. "Do you Realize" made me cry the first time I heard it

Yeah and Miley has said everything she does is legal in California multiple times. So I don't see what all the meltdowns are about ...?. I know sometimes she looks kind of messy on Instagram and the edits are annoying or whatever but then again, most of the pop superstars look "messy" (aka normal) without heavy layers of make up, photoshop and pretty clothes.
And living a "normal life" - making all those "hippie crafts", spending time with her boyfriend / pets, writing songs, etc. - can be really healthy for her, since she's been working non-stop since forever.
When it comes to promotion, I think the outcome of M5 could only help her. If the album slays, great, she'll cement her status into the bussiness even more and will prove her detractors wrong and if it underperforms, well...she'll be able to take notice and improve her game up for M6 . And thank you, I'll check out those songs .
first of all, why were songs from MMC included in the HM song battle.
It gave me 11 #1 songs for Miley: Bottom Of The Ocean, Drive, The Driveway, Liberty Walk, My Heart Beats For Love, On My Own, Take Me Along, These Four Walls, We Can't Stop, Who Owns My Heart
my Top 5 least favorites are East Northumberland High, Goodbye, Wake Up America, Good and Broken, I Miss You
I agree with all of them except I wouldn't count OMO and MHBFL as my ultimate favorite songs + SYA is missing
HM favorite songs: Mixed Up, Every Part Of Me, See You Again, Love That Lets Go, Nobody's Perfect
least favorite: This Is The Life, East Northumberland High, I Miss You, Start All Over, Good And Broken, You And Me Together

My Predictions/hopes for this era that I posted in a different thread. Thoughts?
Lead single from Dirty Hippy is unveiled at the VMA's and is an emotional, powerful, self-written ballad that really blows people away. Debuts at #1 on the Hot 100. Fall promo spree with a big Today Show Concert, host/musical guest on SNL, ellen, and late night appearances. Album comes on November 23rd and debuts with 250,000+. She announces a 2016 arena tour with the Flaming Lips. The tour will be much more successful than the Bangerz tour because people will be more interested in her as a talented artist and the Flaming Lips fill midsize arena's on their own. It will also do better as it will be more affordable this time around. She isn't getting 500k a night after the Bangerz tour It will be a total stoner's dream and I could see it being a cultural phenomenon of sorts. I expect most major markets to have two dates.
