So I logged on Miss PROPHET's blog and saw this piece.

Poor Lady GaGa. She’s sweet, and she means well, but lately her ever-increasing sense of self-importance has become her Achilles heel, and is fast turning the superstar into her own worst enemy. GaGa’s latest cringeworthy moment comes from a recent performance in Poland, where, sobbing uncontrollably onstage about her fans, she promised that her upcoming 20-track long third album Born This Way would be the “greatest album of this decade”.

“I promise to you, I’ll never let you down,” said GaGa, choking through tears. “And not for nothing: the album’s finished and it’s ****ing really good… I promise to give you the greatest album of this decade, just for you.”

I see that Lady GaGa conveniently forgot that the accolade of “album of the decade” already belongs to Heidi Montag’s chart flop Superficial. Anyway, it doesn’t end there: GaGa then took a few subtle jabs at other popstars who had been brandishing “freedom” themes in their music, labeling it as nothing more than a trend and not a “spirit” like her album Born this Way is going to be.

When in truth, there is nothing trendy about Born this Way. Born this Way is a spirit and it is this connection that we all share. She then launched into a performance of her hit “Telephone”, a song which spawned a music video filled with lots of trendy brands wrapped up in product placement.

Some people on this thread need to realize the epicness of this song...where is that one GaGa stan who is "ATRL's biggest Bad Romance Stan"??!

The message, production, and legacy are the places where Bad Romance will shine over the competition. Firstly, the message is much more powerful. While Dance In The Dark conveys her feelings of not wanting to have sex with the lights on, Bad Romance has a message that almost everyone can relate to. Almost everyone has had a friendship or relationship that they love that went bad. On the other hand, DITD does not have such universal application. Secondly, the production is stellar on Bad Romance. While Fernando Garibay has some good tracks, RedOne and GaGa is an incomparable eargasm. Every. Single. Time. And thirdly, the social impact of the song is a testament to how much greater it is. An iconic video, and the "Ra Ra Ah Ah Ah Ah" that is universally known is enough backing up for this point.

The video for the song would have undoubtedly been amazing, since all her videos except for Alejandro were.

And the superficial meaning of the song about the sex with the lights is not as great as the superficial meaning of Bad Romance. While the "actual" meanings of both are very emotional and important, the average GaGa-listener can relate more to Bad Romance.
