Well looking at the stats it was a horrible quality match.

If you look at Venus/Serena their match together that was actually a very high quality affair and it was close too

That was intense. Sharapova is **** at serving.

It is almost impossible to see overall quality, because two strong players will generally cause the other to have more unforced errors and serve misses just because of pressure.

If your opponent is returning a higher percentage of your serves, you are going to take more risks and your first serve % will go down.

I didn't even plan to watch this match. It's 4AM here, so I just wanted to see a couple of points. I knew Masha would turn things around. When Ana lost a serve while leading 4-0, i just knew things were going to change.

Sharapova is incredible. Fighting till the END!!! She deserves to be a #1 player. I strongly dislike her, but come on, her every match is a spectacle!!!!

Unbelievable she choked at the end. She died mentally, but how can you blame her for this, she came back from NOWHERE and was one point from winning the match.

I've no words. What a brilliant game.

Your number 1 match was correct. Intense, high drama, and actual HIGH QUALITY. Just simply the match of the year, and the best WTA period since last year's USO final.

After that I'd go:

4. Kvitova d. Bouchard (just because of Kvitova GOATing)
5. Sharapova d. Halep RG

I wouldn't say last year's final was that good. The first two sets were full of drama, but the third set sort of made the match lose its drama...
I would say the Cincinnati final was better...Azarenka's volley at 6-6 in the tiebreak Legendary

How could you possible not put Kvitova-Venus at the top of the list? Amazing quality, drama...had it been a final...it would've been one for the ages. Sadly I'm afraid their match is going to become somewhat forgotten like Venus-DateKrumm 2011
