I want to usher in another thread for my fave but I need to think of a good subject.
Anyways make sure you guys keep your eye out for 'Flawed' coming this year
Alright. To be honest, I've meant to check Meek and his music pretty often, but never quite found the time.
I own his first album, Dreams and Nightmares and have had it since it dropped, but haven't really gotten into him beyond that besides the occasional single.
I've slowly been listening to a couple of his songs the past couple days though.
But, my three favorite songs are:
1) Amen
Too bad there's no solo version of this one. Honestly, I just think it's a great single. The production is bright, springy and fun; the "preach" is just a fun hook. I also like how the song's sound and production imply something religious or gospel related, but the lyrics are more about the things a person would talk about in confession.
2) B Boy
Usually a Big Sean feature means a song is going to be a good time. It's a banger, and features A$AP Ferg who is the best, so I had to make this my first Meek Millvatar.
3) Dreams and Nightmares (Intro)
It's a chill song in the beginning and I like that; until the beat change kicks in and the song turns uglier and make this song a lot more unique. I think it's a really clever intro for an album called Dreams and Nightmares, and really represents both themes well and just a great track on its own. The lyrics are equally inspirational and troubling on both the dreamy part and the nightmare part. Great intro.
I would like to nominate fridayteenage for the BILLBOARD award because literally every single post of his after his swap has incorporated Beyonce in some way and that takes talent and dedication
