I feel a bit bad about my scores for The Golden Echo, but I realized while doing this rate that I didn't like the album nearly as much as I remembered, particularly in comparison to Vows.
It's just a bit cluttered.
How many times did you listen to it before sending scores? Cluttered was my initial impression, but with time I realized how detailed and good it actually was.
Waltz Me To The Grave Definitely underrated. The fact that song-lengths immediately turn people off is annoying.
Little Boots deserved a lot better too, so many of her amazing songs have left already!
And in regards to The Golden Echo - I'm probably one of the few people that actually VASTLY prefers it to Vows. In fact I hated her debut whereas this album is a major step up for me.
Sad but unsurprising that Slum Love is out already.
Katy needs to lose her deluxe tracks (sans Blue Eyes which should really get top 10 but I doubt it) as well as Still and All My Lovin. Jessie needs to lose Sweetest Song, Keep On Lying, Champagne Kisses, and Desire. Kimbra can lose Miracle and I suppose Carolina.
WAIT why is Motorway so highly rated???? Wow. And at least Cher's best is still in.
