Blake didn't do much last season from what Wikipedia tells me so I don't think Blake is at fault at all. I think he's just been having fantastic song selections for a country artist and this is the show them rednecks love watching, no offence lol.
As for Adam and Blake staying, I genuinely think they both like staying and both love doing the show. They get paid for just being themselves and playing a meta game with regards to peoples careers and life work being on the line.... Kinda sick if you think about it.
Usher and Shakira gelled well with them, but they will never be topped because its as if they almost do this for a living. They love doing it. Both Usher and Shakira have other things in mind, especially with them being hungry to come back into the mainstream, touring and having kids to take care of.
Even seasons 2 & 4 were better.
