I dunno. It's definitely between 5 people.
1) Maria Sharapova
2) Serena Williams
3) Petra Kvitova
4) Victoria Azarenka
5) Kim Clijsters
Those are the most likely winners, in that order. Maria is number 1 since she recently won the French, her worst surface by far, and she was extremely impressive in it. Serena was close to first, but I put her second because although she has won the tournament more than Maria, and is a better grass court player (the most complete grass court player of any active player tbh, even more so than the current Venus) she can have hiccups, like Stosur at the US Open, Makarova at the Australian, and Virginie at the French. She's definitely going top 3 if she wins here though. Petra is 3rd because she's the defending champion and has done extremely well here the past two years (1 semifinal, 1 win). Her game is also suited for grass. She's not higher because she's had some inconsistent results, like losing early in her first grass court warmup. Victoria is 4th because she is the only player besides Maria to win a GS this year and she has 38 match wins so far, tied for 2nd on tour so far this year. She's not any higher because the bulk of her wins came VERY early in the year, and she's struggled a bit as of late, like losing to Cibulkova at the French. Her game is also suited for either Hard or Clay, so Grass could very well be her worst surface. And finally, we have Clijsters. She's a wildcard tbh. It was a 3 way tie for me for 5th, between her, Li, and Kerber since they all had good, but not GREAT results on Grass. Kim made a final here before, and although she hasn't played in a while, isn't she in a final at Aegon's International? She is more consistent to rely on than Li and Kerber. Although Kerber has 40 match wins, most on tour this year, she's never had good results on grass. Although that has changed this year, she's done great on all surfaces. I just don't think she has the experience yet.
The darkhorses of this tournament are Bartoli, Li, Kerber, Ivanovic, and Venus. All of those women achieved either great results on grass or good results that put them in a better position than most on grass but not good enough in their current state to be considered a favorite.

Plus it's Kimmie's last Wimby, so she's going to haul her ass out there in Centre Court and win as many matches as she can.

She's had poor warmup tournaments this year before making it to the SF of the Australian and French. I expect another SF at Wimbledon

There's no one in the 4th quarter that could possibly threaten her if she's in SF form
So she has to be taken out before then. Serena I guess if all else fails.

Oh ****...didn't see Serena in her Quarter . Well since I expect Serena to win Wimbledon this year, I guess Kvitova will bow out in the Quarters (I hope not earlier). Making the Quarters or greater at all 4 slams would be a great feat for Kvitova .

Venus drew Radwanska in the second round again? Welp, I hope it goes better than the French Open...

I just hope that Venus even makes it to the 2nd round. Sjogren's syndrome really takes a toll on her so I don't expect her to go far, even on her best surface. It will definitely be closer than the French though, seeing as clay is a neutral surface for Radwanska and the worst for Venus and the Grassy SW19 is the best arena for Venus and the worst possible surface for Radwanska.

Kerber. Five match points squandered.
The WTA is so ragged right now.

Thank GOD no Sharapova, Venus or Kim on Serena's side of the draw.
I expect her to be more focused than ever coming into this event & make it to the finals.
Her eyes are focused straight to that Venus Rosewater Dish.
I honestly don't see anyone giving her any trouble on her half of the draw, not even Kvitova.
Sharapova looks to have an easy draw too.
Please, please, PLEASE let there be a Williams/Sharapova final!!
I really wouldn't care who wins, just make a classic 3 setter with something like 17-15 in the 3rd!

I would be here for that. Sharapova v Williams would be the best final this year by far . I think the winner between Serena and Kvitova would make it to the final really, I can honestly see that

Sharapova never brings it against Serena. It's one of the very few match ups where she seems to be intimidated by her opponent. Serena seems to play her best tennis against her too, so I wouldn't like to see them contest another final. Their matches never tend to be competitive.
Petra's having a disastrous year. The one positive is that she's still in the top ten in the race for the wta championships and has reached two GS semi-finals, but she did so playing way below her best. I know she's had some injuries, but many people expected her to dominate this year. She's not living up to her potential. She's someone that could easily win 10+ Grand Slams if she puts it all together.
Poor Wozniacki has a tough opening round against Paszek. I really didn't think she'd fall down the rankings like JJ but I guess I was wrong. She just seems so lightweight in all of her matches I've seen this year. It's hard to believe she won 18 titles the way she's currently playing.
