My dream single would be either Max Martin and Shellback orrrrr Dr. Luke, Max Martin, and Benny Blanco.
Those would actually work really well for the lead. Hmm. Whatever it is, I kind of want it to sound like "classic" Katy, but updated a bit to fit 2013 more - some light elements incorporating a similar instrumentation to songs like "Wake Me Up". Not heavily of course, just light. However, the pure pop approach worked very well with "Wide Awake", which I consider to be among her best tracks, so I think that Katy could do a lot of things within the scope of pop that would make for a great song and huge hit for the lead.

THIS!!!!! As soon as I heard the name that's what I thought of. Still has the sense of guitar-led pop that Katy's famous for, coupled with big modern dance beats. Especially how it makes sure to use real instruments in it, I could totally see Katy slaying a song like that. Doesn't hurt that it's irressistably catchy.

I don't really want much Cirkut on this album, his production is considerably more EDM than Luke's and I'm not here for an album full of it (maybe 1/2 songs).

Diplo did 5 songs apparently, including the Icona Pop duet, co produced by Shellback. Also a sperate song with Shellback. He also did work with Dr. Luke and Sia. Butttttt, he said he doesn't know how much will make the final cut, because he said some of it wasn't "pop enough". If one of y'all could find that interview (shouldn't be from too long ago) that'd be great.
