That's an appalling list devoid of versatility that's why i dropped out. Its no longer fun without versatility.
I love nintendo games but who the hell wants to see that dominate over games like Tomb Raider,Bioshock and Final Fantasy?. It should have some pokemon games some mario games and other non nintendo games.

TBH my first Zelda game was Twilight Princess and I loved every moment of the story. As much as people drag the series for being redundant.... it was one of the most fulfilling stories in any game I have ever played.

I don't think versatility is the term you were looking for.

Anyways, I disagree. Pokemon is nothing like Mario, which is nothing like Zelda, which is nothing like 3D Mario, which is nothing like Metroid. The multiple Pokemon games I can see the complaint, but they are all on the same side of the bracket so I don't see the big deal. The issue isn't variety, it is people mad that Nintendo is dominating, and a lack of M-Rated games in general.

Tomb Raider was NEVER going to be popular enough to make it deep. Final Fantasy would have been but the series has destroyed its reputation in recent years.

GTA was unlucky to be placed up against the original Pokemon. Which just happens to be the one series more popular and with more impact. There is no way RBY shouldn't have advanced.



Also..... this is a pop music forum. Did people REALLY expect "hardcore" games to do all that well?

Basically Waffles summed up what I was about to say. Objectivity is almost never the case with voting in rates like this. Nor should it in an example like this rate. It might have been different had the rate put it as a requirement but as some of the posts in here showed, not everyone played every game.


Anyway, I'm hoping Tomb Raider makes it past the first round at least. It deserves that much.

1| I don't think that's what I Am Music was saying. I think it's more the fact that so many of certain franchises are included.

2| What's that got to do with anything?, if a game is good it's good point blank.

3| RBY should not have advanced though, it's just silly, It's the worst most overrated game in the series. I'm not even pressed about RSE beating FF because RSE was brilliant.

1) Honestly. I am surprised we got as few repeats as we did. I half expect EVERY Pokemon and Mario game to be included. Anyone who thought there was a chance of that not happening wasn't being rational.

2) There is no objective measure of "good". It is all opinions, and opinions are effected by recent events.

3) Honestly, outside of the original Mario and Zelda I don't see a single game on the list that had more impact that RBY. You can argue whether it is good or not, but that is NOT what we are rating in this rate. "Top 32 Games of All Time" doesn't necessarily mean "32 Best Games of All TIme".

This rate is about the top games. For people like me RBY hold way greater memories than FF. I understand that technically FF may be a 'better' game, but RBY is a game I enjoyed more and had better memories with, so obviously I'ma vote for it.

Plus, how can you NOT enjoy speedrunning them?
