Hi guys. This is the first time I watched a season of BB and I have to say that I like it. I a huge fan of Survivor and this was kinda similar, though BB has a lot of complications in it (or is it just this season?)
I enjoyed the last 4 episodes and I'm very much looking forward to the next one. I also listen to RHAP so that I can learn more about the game. With that said, I have a question, what is it about the live feeds? Should I listen to them (the ones in RHAP)? Because I feel like they may contain spoilers and I'm not keen to those.
Secondly, which recent seasons (somewhere from 11 onwards) should I watch? Please just give a number, I don't want to be spoiled with that season's outcome. Thanks and I really appreciate your responses.
With this season, I really like DaVone. She's good tv and I hope she stays longer. Some of my other favorites are Meg, Shelli, Steve and interestingly enough, John. I think that Audrey's aggressive gameplay will hurt her. Lastly, I don't like Austin, Jace and Clay. That's all.

WHOOPS, the video made it around to blackgirlsarepretty and famousblackcelebs.
The BB community tried to keep it quiet, but it's out now and they're getting LASHINGS.

Since BB is a live show that is on-going, the live feeds are full of spoilers for the episodes. People who watch the live feeds always know who is nominated and who has won competitions before it actually airs on TV. If you don't like that, then I don't recommend live feeds. The only things we don't get to see on the feeds are nomination ceremonies, BOB comps, POV comps, and veto ceremonies. Those are reserved for the show. Also, I would stay away from fan sites because they also would spoil that information.
As for recent seasons, I recommend Season 11. If you get addicted and wanna go old-school, Seasons 6 & 7 are great.

To most BB fans, the actual episodes are only like 20% of the appeal of the show. The live feeds are what make the show great and different from any other show on TV. The live feeds are actual live streams of what's going on in the house at that moment. Since the episodes only cover less than 3 hours per week, fans watch the live feeds to get a more accurate and up-to-date feel of what's going on in the house. For example, people watching the live feeds have known about Jace being nominated at the Veto ceremony since I think Saturday. The feeds come especially in handy during endurance HoH competitions or after the fallout of a blindside/eviction. If you have $6 per month to spare and don't value your social life, I suggest getting them. Even those who don't pay for the feeds use illegal links or at least keep up with spoilers throughout the week via blog sites. If you like just watching the show, great, though as someone who's watched since Season 3, I'd say the viewing experience is 100x better when keeping up with the feeds/updates.
For past seasons, BB recently has been in kind of a slump. Last season was atrocious (the worst ever). If looking to watch past seasons but wanting to stay kind of recent, I'd say Season 10 or 11 are the best. 15 is alright too, though the drama at times got too ugly to be enjoyable. Season 13 is good but features returning players you won't be familiar with. If you don't mind going to older seasons, Season 6 and 8 are easily the best without being too old school. They both feature high drama and good gameplay.
What are your fave Survivor seasons and why? I can probably judge what past BB seasons you'd enjoy most based off that.

I'm not sure what you mean by complications. Could you clarify?
The live feeds are videos that directly stream what is happening in the house at all times. They do contain spoilers, such as who won Battle of the Block and Power of Veto, since the house guests discuss those topics in the house, before the televised broadcast of the competitions. RHAP, and most other podcasts/fan sites, WILL discuss those spoilers. Rob has spoiler music though, so you'll know when he's about to discuss something you don't want to hear.
As for suggested seasons, I would highly recommend Big Brother 10. That's the most praised season, and rightfully so. It's a basic season with no twists, so it's a great way to introduce yourself to the mechanics of the game. After that, I'd suggest Season 11 - lots of drama, gameplay and some of the best characters in BB history. Again, the concept/twist was fairly simple to grasp, as well. If you like Da'Vone's TV persona, you'll LOVE Chima.
Bye @ you not liking Clay.

I don't get y'all's love for S10. For me, it became a complete bore once
Libra was evicted.
Every time I try to rewatch it, that's where I start to lose focus.

I'm not gonna give you an essay since you've gotten wonderful responses already,
but TobeGrierson, your taste in houseguests is impeccable.

This season is a bit over-complicated because of the amount of twists & stunts that they've pulled out of the bag. Previous seasons have been much simpler.
I'd recommend that you watch BB10, it has a bare bones format with a great, diverse cast, making it the best most recent season. BB11, BB13 & BB14 were decent but not "must watch" seasons. BB12 & BB16 were boring and BB15 had a trashy cast, I'd skip them for now.
If you watch the live feeds, you will have a better understanding of the game's dynamic but you will be spoiled on most events before the tv episodes air. You get to see everything except for the actual competitions (some HOH comps excluded), diary room sessions, nomination/veto ceremonies and evictions.

#1 reason to watch BB10:
Before there was king Jeff, there was prince Memphis. He'll always have a piece of my heart.

Ignore what everyone else has said and watch season 6 immediately.
It's the best season of Big Brother (in any franchise like ever).
You won't truly understand the potential of Big Brother until you've seen a house split right down the middle.

I have a life and I enjoy an edited version of a series a la Survivor so I won't bother with live feeds. As for Survivor, I like 6, 7, 20, 25 and 28. I'm a character heavy guy so that's that.

I am kind of torn between starting from Season 1 all the way to 16 or just watching something. I have to figure that out. Lol.
I just find Clay to be bland. Compare to Steve and John who are characters and their personalities are pretty established. He may grow on me though.
