The VMAs are 5 weeks away. That is a long time for the media with their 24hr cycle. Taylor will have lots of concerts between now and then and they will generate more headlines that will replace the current nonsense.The VMAs are just after the LA shows and Taylor will certainly have guests during those shows that will make headlines about Taylor for that week. Also by then Bad Blood will not only have beaten Anaconda's 24hr record on vevo, it will have overtaken it for overall views too.

She didn't need to apologise. She was in the right. However, she is taking the diplomatic route, like when you have an argument with someone but even though you still believe you were right, you apologise as a gesture of reconciliation.
