I connected with the song, because I've been in that situation so many times. I've met so many great guys, and then they are always into someone else, or the worst, one of my friends. So I always reflect upon, why not me? I'm just never their type, and I never seem to be anyone's type. At the same time, it helped me really grow into myself, and not let myself be changed by what other people expect or want me to be. I've learned that I would much rather be an individual and true to myself, than a different version of myself just to be someone's type. So this song really struck a chord with me.
