I feel like if glam rock is what 1D want to toy with, they should just get into and do it properly. Thing that annoyed me about a lot of the tracks on Midnight Memories is that they kept trying the sound out, but it'll never work well unless you go the full way. Hopefully they do it properly the next album. assuming they're sticking to that sound.
Glam rock is legit glorified pop music, and it's a much more respected genre. It'd do them well. Midnight Memories is already a complete rip-off of Pour Some Sugar on Me anyway.
It's mostly Harry though. I like him but he's still got a lot of work to do with singing most of the MM songs. Pretty much the same with any artist really when it comes to new material.
Aside from that, the boys each have a role on the songs more equally now.
Rock is a pretty flop genre right now anyways. Seems like an unwise career move
I also agree with Glam. They already look kind of stupid when they do rock now........ they would look absurd if they went all the way as Jack! suggested.
