As Retro said before, millennials weren't around for Whitewater or even Lewinsky. So, it's very likely that the distrust stems from Benghazi and the emails when, on the whole, they've both been thinly-veiled smear campaigns.
And on that note I suggest this article, though I wholeheartedly disagree with the author's conclusion that Hillary is "getting farther and farther away from [her] heartfelt-speech-giving self."

When I asked some friends what they knew about First Lady Hillary Clinton, they seemed surprised when I described what I’d been reading and watching. For all of us, the most immediate association we had with that period was how she’d dealt with Bill’s infidelity. “She’s still ‘the woman whose husband got a blowjob in the Oval Office,’” one friend commented.
I see so much animosity toward her from a lot of people I personally know without an iota of knowledge on her past - or quite frankly, anything she did before the actual moment of the Benghazi attacks. And to be honest, it's irritating as all hell that so many people around me don't know what the hell they're so vehemently campaigning against.
Hillary isn't some establishment-wielding wicked witch, she's a ****ing Democratic Party legend and nobody who wants to vote in a Democratic Party primary should ever forget that.

This. A friend of mine commented that if she loses she'll just go on to do something illegal again. And then when I asked her an example of what illegal things she did, she immediately said the emails and I had to debunk everything she said and she was reduced to saying she simply hasn't read much about it, despite having such fervently strong opinions about it. I hate it when people have strong, uninformed opinions.

If people haven't seen her speeches as First Lady, her original campaign's best moments like her concession speech and her DNC speech (linked above in my edit!), I honestly don't want their opinion on her. I don't want uninformed hate. To clear, most of the people who support Bernie in this thread are well informed and I appreciate and respect that - but the people at my school? Not one. They were between ten and fourteen when she ran and for the most part not interested in politics. They weren't even BORN when she became First Lady.
I'm biased because I've been supporting her for going on a damn decade soon enough, but it irks me to no end when people forget the person behind the politics and the legacy, career, and persona she has built and still has behind her.

My issue with it, is if you're genuinely not that invested in politics, sure, that's entirely fine. But for you to promote inaccuracies and artful conspiracies on Facebook and then fail to know basic information about the person you're attacking, or the candidate you're supporting, then you shouldn't be taking place in a political discussion. Or, more importantly, fail to open up to additional sources or perspectives.
In all honesty, this thread is the only place on the Internet that I can actually handle having a serious discussion about politics with other people because everything else is too extreme and blanketed. I used to watch The Young Turks and were such big fans of them, but this election season just made them to be the same extremist, close-minded group akin to the ones they criticize in cable news. Also, their second-hand reporting is tiring.
Regardless of who gets the nomination (obviously I really want it to be Hillary), I'm just ready for this primary season to be over and done with. It's not interesting anymore. I'm ready to move on to the GE.

Ugh, the Young Turks. I literally just watched their videos about the debate last night and I was honestly disgusted by the bias, the attitude, the comments. The moment that pissed me off most was when they said it's been like six or whatever debates and "Hillary keeps saying she's been specific on health care but I still don't have a clue what the difference between her and Sanders is on that issue. She thinks she's going to do the same thing [universal coverage] as him with twenty times less cost and so much less opposition? And he's the unreasonable one? lol"
Like, to have the ****ing nerve to criticize a candidate you clearly haven't even researched on their policy matters. It was so exemplary of the way my own friends have been looking at things and it's beyond awful as a way to look at a political election.

The Young Turks are a joke. I hate them anymore. I'd rather just read articles with actual first-hand information.
Every single debate they'll declare Sanders as the winner (which is fine), but their reasoning for that conclusion never make any sense.
Probably my biggest "Are you kidding me" moment most recently with them is when they tried to say that Bernie fans attacking Hillary fans on Facebook (Bernie Bros) is a lie and is just a creation of corporate media to make Hillary look like a victim and to benefit her in the primary.
Hillary supporters, I want to make you aware that as the clock strikes midnight in parts of America, we enter an important day for her as a candidate, and and important day to remember as a Democratic Primary voter.
February 13th, 2008: Obama overtakes Hillary nationally according to RealClearPolitics' polling average, never again to entirely give up his lead.
February 13th, 2016: Hillary Clinton leads rival Bernie Sanders by an average of 13.3 points nationally and leads in nearly every state that is yet to vote that has been polled. She is still the frontrunner, she has a close battle in Nevada and a winning battle to lead in South Carolina, and a foothold on Super Tuesday and the superdelegates. This is not the same campaign she ran eight years ago and she is still going strong!
Incorrect Retro! Well correct according to RCP but there have been quite a few states polled not on that site that actually have Bernie in the lead or a tie

If they're not on RCP, I'm not concerned. The message still stands in its entirety; Maine and Alaska can suck my toe and anywhere she's tied can be won back.

. What do you think of Trump's overall chances at the nom? I've heard he has no chance if the three establishment candidates (Kasich, Bush, Rubio) consolidate
