I'm bracing for the pain and I am letting go
I'm using all my strength to get out of this hole
I hit a wall, I thought that I would hurt myself
Oh I was sure, your words would leave me unconscious
And on the floor I'd be lying cold, lifeless
But I hit a wall, I hit 'em all, watch the fall
If someone has to undergo training for a job, why shouldn't they have to undergo training to become an entertainer anyway?
That is going to be their profession, they might as well do it properly if they're going to
We wouldn't see half the awful stuff that we do nowadays onstage anyways
If you want to succeed, then be good at what you do
If you want to be good at what you do, then train
It's not a difficult concept
Those who want to be trained can freely pursue it knowing what it entails
If you want to sit on your fat ass eating and then half ass your performances a la Justin Bieber, then don't be a pop star
Plain and simple
It's inorganic and unrelatable. There's a limit to how much manufacturing can go into a pop star before it becomes something else, and not something we want.
Labels should invest in their artists. Tori Kelly or whatever her name is has so much money behind her, yet her music is boring and she has 0 stage presence
Why would I want to watch a moaning corpse onstage
Biggest waste of money for all parties
Oh it was ****ing dark for sure, a few things frustrated me (the big twist of course frustrated the **** out of me, and it was messing with my head because if you think about it, so so many people could be blamed but really no one did anything wrong) but I think we're kind of at a great point now where it's almost a clean slate.
Especially with
Piper and Alex
who are two characters I've hated for the longest time but I'm starting to like again now.
I like Alex and Piper individually but they kinda annoy me when they're together at times. My friends disagree but
I felt so bad for Piper when they branded her
. I don't which twist you're talking about but I only have one episode left so I'm about to find out.

Americans take too much pride in being self-taught, self-made, etc. And once they've made it, they feel there is no need to improve. It's that whole "who needs a degree when you're schoolin' life" mentality. If someone gets two PhD's and a wealth of knowledge they'll be like pff, show-off. But if some college dropout starts a business and by pure stroke of luck it somehow takes off, they'll lose their **** and think this person is incredibly amazing. They're not inspired by rags to riches stories that involve many years of education and training.
Madonna is the perfect example of an artist manufacturing themselves. She set a goal, and molded with the times to manufacture herself into the image she wanted to be seen as.
Beyoncé is also manufactured, but still puts on a hell of a show. If her music was better it would be an ideal manufactured star in the United States

People are fickle
Education and planning are behind everything you see
I'm hoping this "authenticity" thing wanes. The quality of pop would be much better
Listen, just leave or stay... but I'm done listening to it.
Yas Sia, shade Carly and her Boy Problems!

I mean
the death
which is at the end of the second to last episode, so I guess you know what I'm talking about? ****** situation. And tbh I actually prefer Alex and Piper together.
I felt so bad for Piper and I'm usually cheering on when people get one over on people but that Hawaiian girl is just irritating.

Right. And Rihanna used to be so much more manufactured and it was what made her so great and gave her stans something to stan for, until now. And we see the results of it.
Like. I'm into this whole "artistic freedom" thing, but there definitely has to be some control for quality.
Beyoncé was made by herself, her dad and her family. She was not trained by a corporation to become a popstar before she even had a record deal like those korean robots. Two completely different situations. Britney's case would be more like them.
And there you have the most important distinction.
Precisely. It's whether the artist is controlling it or not. When the label is controlling the way an artist changes, it becomes just tacky and see through. The worst happens when an artists fan are swaying them towards reinventing and manufacturing themselves (see: ARTPOP era).
