They should have an idea of what the first single is without having the songs mixed. They should have already had that sOng mixed.

I know it feels like forever, but I actually think the recording process was rushed. When Rolling Stone had that preview listening session, it was done around the time where Ke$ha first had Mr. Peep$. That wasn't that long ago. There were 17 tracks, many unfinished. Unless they picked maybe 7-8 of the strongest ones and finished those, there is probably no way they could of completed all 17 in such a short amount of time. They are probably so pressured to get it all done.
