Again, Brandon deserved it
Carly is still a great winner though. Communion shouldn't have been nominated

Congrats Carly. EMOTION is on it's way to cult classic, if it's not there already

ANNOUNCER: Only one award remains tonight, the one you've all been waiting for. First, though, I'd like to recognize the 12 brave members who participated in our first-ever ATRL Grammys prediction contest. None of you did that well, to be honest. But someone has to win!
In third place is Thanatos, who correctly predicted 13 categories. Maybe if you hadn't skipped all four country award, you would have won!
At the top of the heap are Prismatic and Mirrorwriting, who both guessed 14 of tonight's winner. By a narrow tiebreaker, however, our inaugural champion is...
MIRRORWRITING!

Congratulations! Your prize is my undying love for participating in this flop event. (Also, I will gladly change your username back for free.)

Omg at this very moment I'm waiting outside a concert venue for my CRJ meet and greet in sub-freezing temps (sadistic queen). I'll be sure to pass along the good news if I haven't died of hypothermia by then.

...or, in the case of last year's Album of the Year presentation, someone who has done something laughable outside of ATRL...
Presenting the award for Album of the Year, please welcome to the stage a former long-time ATRL moderator, a repeat ATRL's Next Top Member judge, co-host of ATRL's only moderately (and I use that term loosely) successful podcast, one of ATRL's original members, and someone who probably loves a rock trio from England a bit too much/someone who probably could not tell you the difference between Halsey and a rock (not sure which to use yet, admittedly)...RED.

Red: Thank you, everyone. I have to imagine that I'm a better sight for sore eyes than last year's presenter. I mean, FAB MORVAN? We could not find someone better to present one of the big awards? How much money was ATRL not wasting for this ceremony? But I digress.
I've seen so many members fads and trends come and go over the years. I've watched as the Fonsos and the Froggerts and the Mazens of the world fell to the wayside. I saw AlexandraStanFan and I saw AshleeSimpsonFan. I remember a time when Mandy Moore was as popular on ATRL as someone like Katy Perry, Rihanna or Lady Gaga is today. I was here when Athens made his trek to the top of the ATRL food chain, and I was also here when Joe showed up on those rare occasions...well, okay, Joe pretty much never shows up. I heard about the Q&A he did with you guys not too long ago, and I simply could not believe it. Who was that, and what had they done with Joe? I have never seen Joe be that active in my entire time here on ATRL. Amazing. Hell, I've been here for this long, despite the fact that "Un Momento" and "Error 522" have become synonymous with ATRL recently. You can't keep me down for long, though. I'm like a cockroach, or Cher. I'm going to be here forever...or until a nuclear apocalypse, whichever comes first.
All of that having been said, the one thing that has been the constant, the driving factor of ATRL, the thing that keeps making so many people make the trek to this forum...is the music. Talking about music, introducing others to new music, shading others for liking songs and artists that they don't like, and even using sexually transmitted diseases as weapons in arguments...and yes, the last one has happened. Look it up. ATRL's history and legacy can always be traced back to music. That's why I'm here to present the award for Album of the Year, to do my part in continuing that history. Whoever wins this year will follow in the footsteps of last year's Album of the Year winner, Beyoncé. As an aside, it should be said that this year's vote was hotly contested, and it came down to the very end, but thankfully, there is a definitive winner.
Okay, enough talking, it's time for some nominees.
Taylor Swift - 1989
Tinashe - Aquarius
Tame Impala - Currents
Carly Rae Jepsen - Emotion
Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
Red: Not a terrible group, if I may say so myself. And I just did. Funny how that works.
And the Grammy goes to...drum roll, please...
...we--we don't have a drum roll for this? *sigh* Feel free to make your own drum roll at your desks, then...
...well, I'll be damned.
CARLY RAE JEPSEN - EMOTION
