Mess at they track by track review demands. Most credible publications do an in depth analysis of the album as a whole, then MAYBE mention a couple songs as the highlights and lowlights.
the singles alone have been terrible. Perfect Illusion was very underwhelming, the video made me hate the song more. I feel like she lost who she was, like in terms of really bringing it.
Now that's one hell of a review. I already knew and loved the album dearly before the review. But this review shed so much light on things I would have never realised by focusing so in-depth on the background information, the artist and the recording process that it made me appreciate the album even more.
