I love this song, but Nicole is a curse, IDK if it'd be wise. I want Dirty Dancer as second single, worldwide.

That Eminem/Rihanna song better not reach No. 1. It's just awful.

Not because they're boybands. In the UK songs are number 1 because people like the song, not because of the artist. Anyone could have released 'Club Is Alive' it would have still been number 1. It's not like in the US where singles are released instantly. Songs are usually released around 2 months after the song is premièred and at around a month after the video starts playing, giving people time to like it, which is why bands are popular/as popular as solo acts.
I.E Teenage Dream probably wont be released till mid-august even though it premiered today, and thats quite an early release for the UK.

Are you serious? The Club Is Alive only went to number one because JLS have so many fans, it has nothing to do with the quality of the song (which is horrible btw.) That's why their sales were so front-loaded, it didn't even spend a week at number one on iTunes. Their record label suppressed downloads and their fans purchased it as soon as it was released, since then demand has been lacklustre.
Generally speaking songs are purchased because people like the song, but there are exceptions. In the UK, like everywhere else, the Artist who sings the song is almost as important as the song itself.

Dirty Dancer is not good. The song is full of recycled leftovers from Usher's horrible OMG. I don't think Nicole is a curse when it comes to Europe. Baby Love is a *moderate* hit and I believe in the magic of the song.

Ok so i used a bad example.
Other than that I was exactly right., In the UK people buy music cos its good, not cos they like the artist.
Hence Kesha doing well in the US but **** in the UK.
E.G If Christina released something like 'The Silence' by Alexandra Burke in the UK it would most likely smash. Just like it would if Alexandra released it, or Kelly Rowland, or Beyonce, and so on.

Thats your opinion, its not a fact, so don't say it as if it is.
The Club Is Alive sold well not only cos of their fanbase, but cos it reached out to a slightly different audience as well. Every teen male I know loved it (straight guys), but it didn't get them interested in JLS, which is what i'm trying to say.
People don't usually buy in the UK cos of the artist.
But like you said, there is the odd exception.

Dynamite vs. Start Without You.
Who do you think will be victorious? I would rather it be Alexandra because I am one of her few US stans.

Ke$ha hasn't done "****" in the UK, she's had 5 Top 20 singles, 3 of which went Top 10.

No it did not. If it had reached out to a broader audience it wouldn't have had the biggest fall from number one in over two years. Like their previous number ones, JLS' sales have been extremely front-loaded, and that is because their fans purchased the song as soon as it became available for download. Sales dropped off rapidly.
I get what you are saying with regard to people buying music because of the Song and not the Artist, but the Artist does help. A new Artist is not guaranteed to get the same amount of support as an established Artist is, so even if they sang the same song, they are not as likely to be successful with it as someone who already has a solid fanbase behind them.
