If your album sells millions without a major help of huge music markets (where it's supposed to do well), that's the definition of global imho.
And it's stupid when other get deemed as "the most global pop star of out generation!!!11!!1!!!" when they basically can't go platinum tour major countries in Latin America or Asia for example, or even East Europe.
Thank God my knowledge of the "world" isn't limited to west Europa and the Anglo-Saxan countries.
