Why are so many album threads getting closed in the Music News section?

I was wondering the same thing. I don't think so though. For one, it says, " One Fan Base per artist or celebrity". Two, the whole purpose of Base is to help with the mess that was the old Album threads in Music News; Celebria wasn't supposed to be affected by Base. So while Album threads now are only for the latest album news and for members to come in and find out whats going on with the album, TV Show threads can be like discussion threads.

Well, that's what my thoughts are, but I guess we'll have to wait for a mod to come in here and provide a definitive answer.

I don't know if this is a Chrome problem, but i can't watch any embedded YouTube videos in ATRL.
I always get the "An error occurred, please try again later" and have to click on the video to direct me to YT and watch the video there.

It's fine in Celebria. I mean, I get why you'd want it to be in The Lounge, but it's not necessary... Whatever though, it's not a big deal.

I would like to give my feedback on Base after a few days.

I know that I should give it a few weeks before I do, but in my opinion, things are not looking the way they are supposed to.

According to the new regulations, Base was created to discuss all things related to our favorite artists, since the Music News section will be devoted to confirmed music news from recognized sources. However, there are now so many polls, conversations and random threads that are clogging the Base section. Even threads that are not related to music (e.g. the German-speaking thread) are there.

I know that I could just click on "Fan Bases" in order to view the section in Fan Base threads, but what about our visitors that come by and watch that mess of a section with so many random threads and repeated polls.

I think the Moderators team should have a more active stance on the way the Base section is organized since right now it is the the second most active section of the website. I have stated many times that posters who do not agree can leave if they choose to, but I am just giving constructive criticism to one of the recent developments at ATRL.

YTT works like a countdown. You pick a category and then you'll usually give people options to vote with, then after voting you tally up the results and post the list. You work it like the Billboard Hot 100 does. Then you get to post stats like "longest run at #1" or "artist with most top 5 entries" and so on.

Well, that's for request countdowns.

Personal countdowns are just your own countdowns, top 10.. top 20.. whatever amount you want to do.
