I'm really curious as to how they'll handle the first single. Will they just throw it out there ala We Can't Stop, go the Problem route and man-slaughter promo with a radio deal from day 1, or do a Shake It Off situation where the video is released the same day as the single.

Preferably I'd like the Problem route, but Shake It Off's looked to be more effective for 'longevity' purposes weirdly enough. And with the way videos were a key component to Bangerz, maybe just rushing it all out at once is the best way to create hype. Making people wait would lose interest in the song, patience for the video and leave little effect for the song afterwards unless it was controversial (not likely).

+ yeah 4x4 was a huge bomb waiting to happen. Even the name sounds bait worthy for flopping spectacularly. Don't know what i was thinking with it resurrecting the era. 1190. Miley Cyrus - Do My Thang

I don't wanna bother thinking about the new era. I can't imagine Miley going back into pop star mode any time soon so I'm hoping a switch will flick on at some point and then I'll have a basic idea of what to expect. 99% sure Miley ~doesn't care about success~ and wants to make ~real music~ with her ~homies~ again. Maybe seeing Taylor outsell her entire album run in one week will ignite some fury within her.

All i know is, the next album I just want a 'Diamonds'-like first single. Something where she can show her vocals, with a catchy chorus but not nothing that strays too far from her usual

I think Miley and Stargate would make some amazing music, that's who i really want her to work with.

The Bangerz tour appealed predominantly to the white teen and young adult demographic (predominantly females and gays) that were trendy and cool enough to go to her tour to "turn up!" and "get ratchet!" Funny enough, I agree with this I think the VMA's didn't help her going on tour cuz that was the public's last reminiscent performance from her so i think a lot of people who purchased Bangerz tour tickets were her fans, gays, "ratchet" females or w/e and I don't think it helped in the long run esp when she really only had two singles to help push the tour and i won't count 'Adore You' 'cuz well..

I'm really looking forward to how the next era is gunna be handled, but I hope this year she does the whole charity thing to kind've rebuild her image to be taken seriously. There's nothing wrong with the psychedelic/hippie thing to me but i don't want it to be a joke, she can do it and make it work in her favor with an image thats not polarizing and kinda something trendy even

I hope the next era won't include any hippie arts and crafts and controversy. No one will take her serious if she continues with that (we all know that, let's hope RCA and her team make her realize this too). And I also hope she does some choreography, it's not like she sucks at that. Less walking around and using stuff the audience is throwing on stage and more dance routines. It doesn't have to be much but at least something to make people want to SEE her.
She also could perform with a guitar/piano again but for some reason she doesn't like doing it. But at least it will make people see she's more than a twerking mess and see her for the talented girl she can be if she wants to.

In my opinion, she doesn't do choreo, play a guitar/piano or follow her team orders because Disney subjected her to psychological trauma (at least that's how she feels), so she never wants to do something that reminds her of her disney days. Hopefully I'm wrong

Ch! She didn't even do choreo as Hannah besides a few hip shakes here and there. The most she ever did was in the Can't Be Tamed video (something she paid for herself, so.) She's just lazy and thinks it doesn't fit her aesthetic anymore. (It kinda doesn't really, but Rihanna also has the whole "idgaf!!" brand and she does choreo here and there.) She's a much less awkward dancer than her peers so it's disappointing that she doesn't really try.

The NERVE of her playing A Boy Named Sue and then covering it this year with not even one guitar string touched... It's literally one chord, how hard would it have been.

I also want a Diamonds-esque lead single, but more in the sense that it's a Sia ballad/midtempo rather than Stargate produced because I can't think of any recent songs from him that have been impressive.

It's disappointing how she was so driven to find success and fulfillment in her career again in 2013 because it was all she had to turn to after Liam dumped her on the side of the road. I never said dressed like that but if Miley dressed how she dressed @ her Dirty Hippie exhibition but a little more cleaner than I don't think it'll be hard to sell an album. Kind've like a real hippie tho, not this messy **** lol. Something trendy but not polarizing cuz let's face it, a look really makes an era these days. Miley kind've had that "ratchet" look for the Bangerz era and it worked because a lot of girls were following that trend. Miley's like the white girls' Rihanna where they follow almost everything she does, so for this next one I want like a cleaner look, even if it's the whole hippie thing cuz she can do a soft version of it where she could still get general public behind her
