I think some people thought Marina was going to be this huge star that would step on the toes of their faves and so got a little threatened, so are loving the fact that the album is having mixed reviews, love that Primadonna didn't break the top 10 and I'm sure they'll be gleeful when EH doesn't shift the amount of albums for them to consider it a smash.
When in fact Marina is on a small label, just trying to do better than last time. I so pleased with the success this era has been because its starting to take Marina to places TFJ couldn't in terms of recognition and success. She won't be as big as Katy but that's not the aim, 679 couldn't afford to put the money in to be able to do that for Marina or any artist on their books.
