She's not my fave but have you seen the finals against Rena? She played better than her, she DID deserve it. She's getting older, she's not gonna play on the same level like she used to, she has obviously passed her peak.

I don't think she played a victim but Sam was the better player and saying she didn't deserve is disrespectful

I'm not surprised either, she's great force on hard courts under the roof but the flop US climate just doesn't fit her

Yes, I probably saw that but I must've blocked most of it out of my memory.. cause I can't really recollect any of it
So the girl played one good tournament, of course she deserved it, she won it so whatever but I mean throughout her career she's been mediocre at best. The rankings don't lie

I remember the point when Serena screamed so loud before Stosur even hit the ball and the point was given to Sam Poor Rena, it just wasn't her day
She was mostly just a great doubles player then suddenly, I think around 2009, she started having great results in singles too and had become a stable in top 10 in 2010-2013, that's not what I'd call mediocre

but sis stable top ten after 2011? Bye 2010 and 2011 were good years for her, everything else was mediocre AT BEST
(I won't say anything about her doubles play tho) Of course she's still among the best players of the world but then again most girls these days are mediocre. I mean where was she when the WTA wasn't in the pits?

anyone would've beaten Venus as the woman was exhausted but i agree, it could go either way as this is barely Simona's second match in the American season so her accomodation will be put to test. gonna be interesting.
