Is This Happiness? is (obviously) not one of her strongest songs chorus-wise, but good lord, those verses and pre-choruses the bonus tracks are FLAWLESS. Sometimes I listen to them more than the actual album.
I haven't really been active in this thread but I love this album.
"Pretty When You Cry" was my instant favorite, "Ultraviolence" currently is.
"Florida Kilos" is a cocaine-covered mess but I love it
"Money Power Glory" is probably my least favorite just because it seems like the most opposite of my own values
"Brooklyn Baby" is growing on me a LOT and QUICKLY. Beautiful song and can't wait for the video.

Lana has spoken with a journalist from the Newv York Times, he said later in a pod cast, hear below, these songs like Money Power Glory or National Anthem are meant ironically, a tongue in cheek..
Haven't posted in this thread for a while... but I am utterly obsessed with this album. I decided to go and listen to some of Born to Die and she was right. I never thought I'd say this, but I prefer Ultraviolence Lana more than Born to Die Lana. Although Born to Die remains her best song, IMO. Black Beauty comes in second. That song >>>>

I had pretty much the same reactions as you although my fave was Old Money (and still is) PWYC was a standout tho on first listen
Totally feel the same about MPG cause its completely opposite of me
i like to see it in a sarcastic way like FMWUTT or like when your just frustrated with the world and just have a **** it attitude like a (empty) threat
