It would be stupid for them to remove the banners with just 9 days away..if they do
Joanne deserves the lashings it would get (its sales)

Joanne will literally have a 50k debut if she doesn't do something quick. A lead single that really didn't do anything and a promo single that's in a healthier state than the lead single. Disaster, disaster, disaster. I seriously do not stan for sales, but the lashings that will ensue the week after Oct. 21st... Whoever decided Perfect Illusion as the lead needs to be fired from interscope and thrown in jail, a choice like that is criminal.

Interscope is a very messy label
I mean look for example to Nicole Scherzinger. They tried to launch her after one Pussycat Dolls album, had no idea to market her, released and leaked album tracks to see if any track would get buzz and eventually shelved her album in favor for a new PCD album. When Nicole was under Interscope she mainly got the power over her material and got to decide everything from the vocal production to the artwork to whatever you can imagine. She hardly brought any revenue and they still put a lot of coins into her direction, she has recorded with almost every producer you can imagine. And easily could have delivered various top produced albums full with good bops, yet Interscope let her do her thing completely and even gave her the right to shelve her projects if she wished to.
I know Gaga has a different careerpath and also different people surrounding her. But I wouldn't be suprised if Gaga has as much freedom as Nicole has, especially since Gaga has brought Interscope far more and still does than Nicole has ever done during her time on Interscope and even as member of PCD. Ofcourse the pressure on Gaga to bring in a certain revenue is much higher than it ever was for Nicole. But I feel they also know what they have in their hands and witnessed her highs, so I guess she overall might get a free pass for certain things, to compromise and be sure to keep her for the long run. Since Gaga will be picked up by any label in a second would she get in trouble with Interscope at some point, not that I would expect that. But i hope you get me

Gaga has already made them millions. Joanne seems to have a good relationship with her label, otherwise they would have forced her to do something entirely different. If there were resistance then Joanne likely would have gotten delayed and shelved, and LG5 would be in album release limbo. Obviously they have faith in her.

A receptive song will smash otherwise without promo if it clicks to the GP but it didnt
Thats why its best to promote Million Reasons during the album release (which has better reception, not to mention its her highest charting track at the moment)
This could be the said the same for other album tracks but its not out at the moment. We cant gauge how much will it do..but since MR is already out..its better to try to use it as for promo during album release next week
More promo = more sales = more TEA for Joanne
|
how can it click with GP if they don't even get chance to hear it?

Watch MR get the same hate next week when the banners for the song are gone. We will have 'give us the real next single, not PI and MR mess'.
|
Let's not act like the initial reaction to PI was positive The hate towards PI had nothing to do with the song's performance. There was A LOT of discontent, just admit that. Please don't have me embarrass you with receipts from ATRL and Gagadaily forums. If anything, people grew to like it even more, not vice versa.

I read on Angela Cheng's website that Interscope wants Gaga to return the horse they gifted her or pay for it.

One of the most stupid thing I have ever seen. Like if it is unreleased song, then sure. But..lemme just chill a bit and anticipate for the album in next 10 days

Contemplating shutting off my internet for a month after it drops so that I can enjoy it in peace. ATRL is going to be world war 3 when those receipts get dropped. I see it already,
"76k debut? Is Gaga over?"
"Will the superbowl cancel on Gaga?"
"Is this Gaga's last album"
"Will she tour?"
"Why didn't the album break into the top 10?"
"Should Gaga ditch country and do R&B?"

At this point, just switch off the atrl ONLY and enjoy the album. But if you don't like it, well...anticipate #LG6 that will be out by 2020

The fact that some people think MR should be the second single is kind of concerning

Maybe she can put a live version on iTunes or some special remastered version
Anyhow, dragging Interscope for making PI the lead single in pointless. They are not the ones who write the music. Sure, they can always tell Gaga a few things about the music direction and things like that. Their biggest mistake is that they give Gaga way too much freedom
