The fight isn't over for Rachel Platten. The 34yo singer crowns the PlatinumCharts for a third consecutive week with her addictive "Fight Song". The song became the 10th song to top the singles chart this year and marks Platten's very first appearance.
Major Lazer, DJ Snake and dannish pop sensation MO rise 3-2 in their 11th week on the chart with their #1-smash "Lean On". "Lean On" spent 3 weeks ruling the countdown and became the first chart topper for all the featured artists. Demi Lovato's "Cool For The Summer" faces a small decline this week as it drops 2-3. CFTS is Demi's lead single from her much anticipating next studio album.
The Weeknd proved that 2015 is his year as he dropped 4 Top10 songs. His latest hit single "Can't Feel My Face" is stable at #4 this week, after rising from #15 two weeks ago. Madonna and Nicki Minaj return to the Top5 with their "Bitch I'm Madonna" collaboration. The hot collabo debuted at #2 a few weeks ago. OMI's "Cheerleader" is this week's massive climber. OMI's smash hit flies 12-6 and claims a new peak position.
Rihanna's "Bitch Better Have My Money" now drops at #7 of the countdown. Selena and A$AP Rocky fall 5-8 with "Good For You" and Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" drops at #9. Fifth Harmony's "Worth It" is the last song to make the cut this week.
Taylor might have snatched the record for the most chart toppers from Katy Perry and Demi Lovato with her new era, but Demi's about to claim her title back. Her summerish lead single from her much anticipated album crowns the PlatinumCharts four weeks after its debut. "Cool For The Summer" becomes Demi's seventh chart topper following the success of her previous hits "Give Your Heart a Break", "Heart Attack", "Made In The USA", her collaborations with Olly Murs in "Up" and with The Vamps in "Somebody To You" and her combined #1 with Idina Menzel in Frozen's "Let It Go". "Cool For the Summer" is the 11th song to top the charts this year.
Rachel Platten fought a lot the past three weeks and it's high time for her to retreat in lower positions. Her "Fight Song" falls one spot in this week's issue and lets Demi Lovato dominate. The Weeknd's new single, "Can't Feel My Face" keeps rising and now enters the Top 3 of the countdown. It's The Weeknd's second Top 3 hit following his collaboration Sia on "Elastic Heart".
Major Lazer, DJ Snake and MO fall from #2 to #4 this week with their successful smash hit "Lean On". Madonna's personal anthem "Bitch I'm Madonna" sits comfortably at #5 again this week and Meghan Trainor enters the Top 10 for a fourth time since her Title era began, now with "Like I'm Gonna Lose You". The ballad serves as the fourth single from her Platinum album and features John Legend.
OMI's "Cheerleader" drops 6-7 and Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" rises 9-8. Rihanna's "Bitch Better Have My Money" is ready to leave the Top10, now falling at #9 and Fifth Harmony's "Worth It" spend one more week hang at #10.
After tying Taylor Swift's record for most #1 singles in the PlatinumCharts history, Demi Lovato extends her stay at #1. "Cool For The Summer", Lovato's seventh chart topper spends a second week ruling the chart. The song follows her 2015 #1 hit single "Up" with Olly Murs.
The Weeknd continues his string of Top 10 hits with an even bigger achievement. The American crooner got his very first Top 3 single last week, but now "Can't Feel My Face" climbs even higher and re-peaks at #2. Major Lazer are also rising this week. Their #1 single "Lean On" which features DJ Snake and Danish singer MO climbs 4-3 and re-enters the Top 3.
Racher Platten and her 2-weeks-leader "Fight Song" falls 2-4 this week and Meghan Trainor earns a fourth consecutive Top 5 single as "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" moves 6-5 this week. Trainor's "Lose" follows the very successful "All About That Bass", "Lips Are Movin'" and "Dear Feature Husband". The song features John Legend who last appeared on the PlatinumCharts with his chart-leader "All Of Me". "Bitch I'm Madonna" falls at #6 this week. The song features Nicki Minaj and debuted at #2.
OMI's "Cheerleader" is stable at #7 again this week. Skrillex, Diplo and Justin Bieber make a massive leap this week with their collaboration "Where Are U Now" which moves 16-8. Taylor Swift's "Bad Blood" falls at #9 and Selena Gomez and A$AP Rocky return at #10 with "Good For You".
Flawless top 3! amazing debut from Harris, How Deep Is Your Love finally grew on me! but my favorite debut from this week was "Are You With Me"! That song is incredible but really short
It has been mentioned multiple times, but now we just have to repeat it. 2015 is the year of The Weeknd and it OFFICIAL. After three massive hits (including the Ariana Grande collaboration in "Love Me Harder", the Sia collaboration in "Elastic Heart" and the Fifty Shades of Grey soundtrack "Earned It"), The Weeknd returns alone and scores his very first chart-topper. "Can't Feel My Face" crowns the PlatinumCharts in its sixth week and dethrones Demi Lovato after a 2-weeks-reign.
Demi Lovato and "Cool For The Summer", the lead single from her much anticipated album "Confident" falls after 2 weeks at #1. She's not falling that hard, she's just moving 1-2 to make space for The Weeknd. At #3 it's Major Lazer and "Lean On". "Lean On" topped the chart for three consecutive weeks and features MO and DJ Snake.
Rachel Platten and her "Fight Song" drops at #4 after a three-week reign. Platten's "Fight Song" became her first chart appearance and consequently her first #1. Every song in the Top 4 are previous chart-toppers. Meghan Trainor moves at #5 with "Like I'm Gonna Lose You" to "wreck" a complete Top 5 of #1 singles. "Lose" features John Legend. Ed Sheeran's "Photograph" ascends at #6 of the PlatinumCharts. It's his fourth Top 10 from his latest album, x.
Madonna and Nicki Minaj drop 6-7 with "Bitch I'm Madonna" and Skrillex, Diplo and Justin Bieber maintain their #8-peak for a second week with "Where Are U Now". OMI's "Cheerleader" falls at #9 and Taylor Swift rounds the Top10 with "Bad Blood".
