Write-up:
One of the unexpected hits last year would probably Without You by David Guetta. He teamed up this time with Usher for this simple and beautiful dance tune. Without You simply tells that you cannot do anything without your significant other and Usher clearly delivered the message all throughout the song. I find myself being mesmerized each day with this song and thus resulting it to finish inside my top 50 for 2011. The music video is ok with me, the seven continents coming together as one to form the Pangaea. David Guetta really knows how to provide us great dance track by collaborating with today’s biggest artists. Hopefully, he releases some of my personal favorites on Nothing But The Beat this year cause I’m sure it will be a sure smash hit.

Write-up:
Chris Brown follows up the string of his hits from F.A.M.E. with Next 2 You. And what better way to have everyone singing his songs like in 2008 is to hook up with today’s pop sensation Justin Bieber. I know for a fact that if this was released, it will be a big hit from Chris Brown and it did. His sound on Next 2 You is a bit different on what he usually release; the heartfelt R&B track will really get to the hearts of the ladies. As for the music video, we see a apocalyptic concept as Chris Brown and Justin Bieber sing in a collapsing city. The only dumb part is Chris Brown jumping on the fissure trying to save his girl; obviously you wouldn't reach the other side with that big crack. Personally, I’m almost on the forgetting stage of what he did with Rihanna. He had come to save his career by providing us good music and I bet if he continues that, he will be as success as he is three years ago.

Write-up:
Last year, Lady Antebellum got us hooked up with Need You Now. This year, they provided us with another great country ballad for Just A Kiss. Though to be honest, they still haven’t topped the success of Need You Now, Just A Kiss managed to be a decent hit from their latest album Own The Night. The song talks about a couple who prefer not to take their love relationship further anytime soon, want to take things slow, and are satisfied with just a goodnight kiss. Charles Kelley and Hillary Scott once again blend their vocals in putting up the emotion of this track and it really worked. Hopefully, we hear more from Lady Antebellum and more successful country ballads under their belt.

Appearing for the first time in my list is the 4th single of Lady Gaga’s album Born This Way. Yoü And I is a bit of disappointment as single choice as I can foretell that Lady Gaga won’t be having a success on a country type song but I was a bit wrong. I found myself liking the song with the help of the beautiful video. Lady Gaga puts it to another level by playing a number of character/alter egos on Yoü And I. She introduced to us her male alter ego (Joe Calderone) and the mermaid (Yuyi). As time goes by, I have come to love this song though not as much as the other smash Lady Gaga hits. The song also managed to reach the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 making it her 11th consecutive top 10 hit. Expect more of Lady Gaga in the following updates. There are three more waiting in the wings.
