I don't know who I'm more upset at right now.

Obama who clearly knew the verdict of the case( you think they just spontaneously assemble a meeting to address the nation) and won't try to bring this to higher courts because honestly he just doesn't care. He consigned with their decision so this case is as good as over.

So let me get this straight...

A black person is killed because of a racist cop giving into the black people are violent and dangerous stereotype, so hundreds and hundreds of black people react by being violent and dangerous? Do they not know this is just going to further this stereotype and make it worse for themselves? This is what happens when you think with your emotions and not your rationality.

A big step backwards with the verdict and an even bigger step backwards with the reactions.

Does anybody remember the Mark Duggan case in the UK? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_Mark_Duggan) Basically the case was similar to this one, a young black male was shot by a police officer, the events of the shooting was highly contested and suspicious. Eventually riots spread across the UK, this was before it even went to a trial though.

Honestly, I was in one of the cities in which the riots broke out, this spread across the whole country and I can honestly say it was terrifying. I feared to leave my home, innocent people were being attacked right in front of my house.

This is why I feel like these riots shouldn't be happening. 3 years on from the UK riots and I can honestly say that they did not achieve the desired effect. It was just disorder and looting, with no real outcome. Whilst obviously they are two different situations, there are so many parallels that can be drawn.

I think what happened with this verdict was wrong, but things are getting too out of hand now.

This entirely, I'm in Manchester and it was really disappointing to see. In our city it wasn't even about race or injustice, it was about greed and opportunism.

I can see why there's anger, I just hope there's not going to be a repeat of what happened in Detroit in 1967 when it all got so out of hand and left scars that were never really healed.

White had rioted in the past for the dumbest **** but no one holds it against them, besides, those who are looting probably were expecting **** to hit the fan so they could do whatever they wanted with no consequences because people will think those who were peacefully prosteting should get blamed for it.
