OMG, dedicating my 1st post to the one and only -j-lo. Only a diva as fierce and kickass as gawdesk jen could be worthy of such passionate high praise tbh.
She has the kind of beauty we must celebrate, shout it from the roofs and the top of the tree canopies gurls, let us bask in the expensive glory of the queen.

She's the most pressed one, but there're tons of Shakira stans in ATRL sis
Waka Waka is a boring song
I just don't see Shakira re-invented herself like Jen She has one kind of music, one kind of dance to use over and over again

Jennifer doesn't exactly reinvent herself either. She has the same type of look and general pop music. Jennifer is more interesting though.

GURLLLLLLLLLLLLL
From On the to J.Lo to The Remixes to This Is Me... Then to Rebirth to Brave to Love?, they are all DIFFERENT kinds of music. And her look, her image changed a lot through years

The blonde highlights with a tan and sunglasses? Not much change. The biggest change in music for Jennifer was being a little more urban, but it was still pop.

Yeah, Jennifer hasn't really changed throughout her career She's always looked flawless though
She's always been mostly Pop, even if she had R&B influences in her music

I always considered her a Pop-R&B artist.
Her first album was clearly Pop with some R&B tunes, and then her 2nd album had more Pop tracks with the the start of some obvious Urban influences, then there was the Hip-Hop/R&B era with the "Remixes", then she continued with the R&B tunes on "This Is Me.. Then", and continued with it with "Rebirth" in which she included more Funky influences. So she didn't really return with Pop music until "Brave" and the most recent "Love?".
I say she's more of a mixture. Or as she put it before, "Latin-Soul".

It's dramatic change from J.Lo to This Is Me... Then, and to Rebirth and Brave
On the 6 is a strong latin influenced album => J.Lo has less latin, more pop dance sounds => The Remixes is old school hip hop => This Is Me... Then is R&B and Soul, and was noted as a departure from her previous dance-pop material => Rebirth's more R&B and Punk of the 80s, less pop than TIMT and still lack of dance-pop material => Como Ama Una Mujer is a latino ballad album => Brave is an outdated pop album => Love? is a dance-pop/ R&B album anyone can easily see the different between her albums

I have to disagree. Yes, I agree that her look has for the most part has stayed the same with the blonde highlights, tan, and lipgloss, but she has changed looks, outfits, & personalities from time to time, more so because of her personal life than her career.
"On The 6" was more a young, cute, flirty, humble Jenny. The P.Diddy era.
"J.Lo" was more of a sexier, more bronzed, more glamourous Jenny. The Cris Judd era.
"This Is Me... Then" was more of a mature, classy, and a little urban Jenny. The Bennifer era.
"Rebirth" was a even more sophisticated but private Jenny, lighter tan, less revealing clothing. The Marc Anthony era.
"Como Ama Una Mujer" was the first album imo where she actually reinvented herself artistically, but it wasn't my favorite. The dark hair, long flowing dresses, dark makeup, etc. It was more of a maternal look. The deep & lost in Marc Anthony era.
"Brave" she goes back to her roots while hiding a baby bump, so it doesn't count. The pregnant era.
"Love?" again reminds of the J.Lo era looks wise, with a mix of "This Is Me.. Then". The I'm in love with my coconuts, and I kicked Marc to the curb era.

I agree. especially the J.LO > TIMT change.
@Inverted, staying with the same looks =/= staying with the same type of music.
Actually, you can highly notice the JLO and TIMT change in terms of looks too.

You did not just say the love? Era is like the j.lo era looks wise
Love? Era has been the most drastic change for jen....in a bad way.
Her fashion was the best from her j.lo to rebirth days...she had the bronx style going on. Just looke at the "get right" video or "jenny from the block"..
She has many different outfits compared on live performances and in the music videos. Now its all catsuits here catsuits there. Everything she wears is some form of catsuit. Its tacky and it doesn't show her versatility.

Okay, I stopped at On the 6 being "a strong Latin influenced album" and the remix album being "old school hip hop." Stop, just stop. And LMAO @ "80s punk."

But what's the big change here? Someone Shakira was (or is?) a pop-rock singer, but her international hits are not even rock-influenced at all. She's changed a lot through the years. Jennifer is still pretty much the same. Not that I'm complaining.

I already said I'm a Shakira fan and I actually prefer Jennifer. I voted for Jennifer in every category in the Shakira VS. Jennifer Lopez thread except better singer.
