"Falling Free" was written with Joe Henry? It's probably gonna be my favorite off this album, the same way "Don't Tell Me" is my favorite off Music, "Jump" is my favorite off Confessions and "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" is my favorite off Hard Candy.

"Falling Free" is probably going to please any Madonna fan I've ever met. They're beautifully sung and are not cursed with oversimplified lyrics, nor do they sound like they care much if asinine radio programmers will like them. "Falling Free" is my fave song of the album so far, gorgeously sung, a total stand-out. Go, Joe Henry! Keep it together, indeed.

Now, I'd heard the bonus tracks were to die for, but who knew that a rumor would be true times 10? "Beautiful Killer" is a ****ing great Orbit song. How in the HELL this is not on the album proper, how in the HELL this is not a title track, I'll never understand. Even the cringe-inducing title "I ****ed Up" turns out to be a really pretty, plaintive pop song.

I genuinely loved most of what I heard. I would be shocked if many people didn't feel this was a vast improvement over Hard Candy which, let's be honest, was a good record. There are definitely songs on here that are personal, uplifting and inspiring mixed among the far louder "I'm still hot and young, **** me in any hole you can!" club crushers.

Kinda sucks though since we still have at least two more weeks before we're blessed with MDNA. Also, wasn't another reviewer raving over "beautiful killer" as well? If it's really that good hopefully they make it a non-bonus track.

So the final, immediate impression was I love "GGW," "GB," "TUTR," "LS," "FF," "BK," "IFU" the best. 7—practically its own album. Night!

MDNA repurposed lyrics: I did wonder why "B-day Song" needed "the beat goes on"—again. But it's a cute song, less nah nah nah than the leak.

"I'm a Sinner" (I think) reminds of a mellow "Ray of Light"; "Superstar" a bit of "Love Makes the World Go Round".

Trying to think of songs some wouldn't like, I would say Madonna going on about "die, bitch!" on "Gang Bang" will rub some the wrong way?

For example, "Candy Shop" was stupid. Nothing on MDNA struck me as being as off as that or as that Spanish concoction from HARD CANDY.
