Since it' was a really sunny and #beautiful day I went for a long walk.
When I left the house I put on Daydream, then Butterfly, then Rainbow, being slayed all over again by God ha discography, and I came home just in time to stop at the first seconds of How Much.

LOL I catch myself doing this, sometimes I daydream about what it would be like if her voice never went downhill, what her current songs would sound like with her 1995 voice, what if E=MC2 and Memoirs did as well as TEOM, etc.... *sigh* it really is like being an extended family. We really care for her to the point we become obsessed.
My bf is out-of-state visiting family. So I'm gonna give his apartment a thorough cleaning while he's out and I'm making a "Cleaning with Mariah" playlist that's at least 2 hours long.

Ugh yes! I envision so much of what could have been. I'd like for Daydream to be her top selling album, and Butterfly second. Maybe Music Box third.
I also would have traded some records for slower releases, which would have reduced pressure from her and she probably wouldn't have suffered from a breakdown. They could have drawn out her albums even more, worrying less about having flawless #1 runs, and she'd have even more album sales and each hit would have been very well known amongst the public and she'd have the greatest singles catalog ever.
And her voice would not be overused as much, slowing down her 90s vocal transformation. Just imagine if she was able to retain her Daydream voice and vocals for multiple albums/eras. Ugh
I suppose the flaws and shortness of her vocal prime is part of what makes it so treasured, but still.
You should hear my sustained belt on "If it's over let me gooooooooooooooo" The neighbor's dog started barking in appreciation.

I do it all the time. In my Mariahverse, she has 4 going on 5 diamond albums, 22 #1s, 10 Grammys, an Oscar and Golden Globe for best original song, among other things. And now, in 2014, she has her Emancipation vocals
