aLD's mods are too sensitive. If it wasn't for their regular drama and messy posts I'm not sure it would be very popular at all... it's their main selling point practically. Mo, I've been reading LiveDaily on the sidelines for years and you were always my favourite. You always brought some sort of tea for us to sip on when the site would otherwise be dead. It's disappointing that they permabanned you twice. I'm glad you deliver the tea here, it's appreciated.

She needs to have inspired work, even if it's Bionic level. Ha motive was there but it was def her labels fault she needed to commercialize it more.

... sis I'mma have to DISAGREE with you regarding Beyonce compared to Xtina. She may have much more technical control, but her tone is BASIC and she can't convey any emotion to save her life. She has the technical marks but she can't connect emotionally, which is also the make of a GOOD vocalist. Her Grammy performance was not up to par. Sure, she hit the notes, but it was emotionally flat. For such an important song, her performance was clearly uninspired.
I don't even like Beyonce's tone imo either. It sounds very similiar to many other decent singers' tone. Every other 'great' singer has a unique and distinctive tone, but Bey lacks that imo. I give her mad props tho for 1) her performance skills and 2) her hustle and work ethic.

And you're entitled to. But facts can't be changed, you're criticizing Beyoncé's tone and ability to emote. Those two are totally subjective, someone else can find her tone not basic and her ability to emote outstanding, and that opinion is as valid as yours.
However, when it comes to actual facts that make a great vocalist, like ability to master your instrument, building up a strong tessitura, having a healthy technique to produce a strong and well-constructed sound (resonant not loud); all those aren't subjective and all of them come with constant discipline and practice. Something Xtina lacks, maybe because she thinks she's too good for it, which is far from the truth, proof of that is the massive decline her voice has had over the years.
Of course, X had tremendous potential to be a marvelous vocalist, but she let go the discipline she had at the beginning and the aspiration she had of turning into an A-class vocalist, a la Whitney and Mariah. Instead she started to damage her own voice by yelling and screaming for dear life. You can have the talent, but if you don't treasure it as in taking care of it and shape it to reach all of its potential, it can only go downhill.
I will never understand why Xtina stans think being a vocalist is more about emoting than it is about actually producing a great sound and mastering your instrument. And this is coming from someone who dislikes Beyoncé quite a lot, but I won't blind myself just for the sake of "stanning".
