In the books it's alluded that Joanna lost her virginity to Aerys when he was just a prince. But someone points out that Tywin Lannister was too proud a man to have anyone's leftovers.
So I don't think he would readily admit that his wife was taken by another man when the image of his house means more to him than anything in the world. He would rather begrudgingly raise the kid than be stained by controversy.
Another reason I think it's possible is why would Tywin and Joanna produce two 'perfect' children like Jaime and Cersei and then suddenly, in this fictional world where everything GRRM does has a purpose, have a dwarf? The centuries of Targaryen inbreeding would cause a genetic anomaly like that, I think.
Also, this would be the inverse of Aegon the Conqueror and his sisters. It'll be Daenerys the Conqueror and her brothers.
It's totally possible. There are signs that point to it (Aerys reputation, his hair, dwarfism?), but i'm not sure the timeline supports it and GRRM clearly doesn't make it a point of contention in any of his books. We're not really meant to question Tyrion's heritage.
I'm just looking at it from a storytelling point of view. It's not really a necessary plot point. Tyrion can be the third head of the dragon with or without Targaryen blood. Because Viserys was a Targaryen, but completely useless, so maybe blood isn't important. Maybe it's a magic connection.
Maybe it's not accurate since Robb and Rickon died not long after Greywind and Shaggydog, while Lady died ages ago.
I think Jon was resurrected to save the Westeros, but it's very unlikely he'll surive at the end.
I actually think it is accurate. Sansa did dies in a sense. She is no longer the northern Sansa with those same ideals. She is now more southern. She doesn't think like a Stark.
Jon's wolf didn't die because he truly didn't die. He is reacting the same way he acted before his death.
All the more reason to disown the Targaryen bastard born out of rape that killed her?
Idk. I don't buy it. But I could be wrong. I just feel like... if there's a bunch of Targaryen bastards running around... why is Jon's parentage made to be so special by GRRM?
Tywin actually said to him that he can't prove he is not his son, that's why he didn't kill him.
the finale had me SHOOK I love and hate Cersei at the same time, she is such a bad bitch.
also, Arya's 1 minute long scene was better than her storyline in both s5 and s6 combined I'm ready for Arya vs Cersei tbh, it needs to happen
Tywin actually said to him that he can't prove he is not his son, that's why he didn't kill him.
Right before Tyrion gave Tywin his deathblow Tywin said, "You are no son of mine." Obviously this could've just been meant as an insult but I think he has reason to believe he's not his blood. Joanna and Tywin loved each other meaning there was no affair, so...
Tywin actually said to him that he can't prove he is not his son, that's why he didn't kill him.
Yes, which means that if he knew Aerys had raped Joanna, he'd have disowned him? or killed him?
Tywin is clearly not above doing that, with or without solid proof. I think that if he knew or suspected, Tyrion wouldn't have the Lannister name, probably wouldn't be alive. I don't see him taking in a Targaryen bastard just to safe his dead wife's reputation.
But, like I said. I could be wrong, maybe he is.
I just feel like it's a little lame to have Tyrion Lannister come back to Westeros and become Tyrion Targaryen. A little too soapy for me. I mean, Jon's mysterious parentage is enough, lol.
I loved when Margaery completely broke character: “Forget about the bloody gods and listen to what I am telling you.”
She gets it. Worst loss since Oberyn for me. I can't recover.
I think we saw Margaery lose her composure when Loras got arrested last season but Marg is really the kind of person who rarely lets her mask slip, so when she does it's quite alarming, so to see her panic, her who is usually so political, and see her be the smartest person in the room, have the best read of Cersei of ANYONE. Really effective scene.
Marg's plotting reminded me of S1 when Ned was trying to head off (no pun intended) Cersei but got screwed because he miscalculated how quickly and ruthlessly she could act.
Fitting that Margaery was the smartest person in the room until the very end. The character went out with dignity and a proud fandom.
She played the game so expertly, and yeah she may have just wanted power for power's sake, but it was also for her family's security. Ultimately she played a huge gamble in pretending to side with the High Sparrow who seemingly had Cersei completely trapped. Who'd have anticipated she was quite insane enough to literally blow up the Sept? I definitely was thinking "Holy sh*t Cersei has taken this to a WHOLE new level!!" I know it was foreshadowed but I didn't think it was going to work out.
I don't think they really thought things through with Loras. "Your punishment for being gay is to never be able to marry and father children, and to spend the rest of your life in the company of fit, healthy, sexually frustrated young men"
That's any ATRL member's dream.
I was laughing about that so much when it happened but then the BOOM came and I was like

When Tyrion asked Tywin when have you ever done anything for yourself, that wasn't for the family?
Tywin replied when you were born... He wanted to kill him throw him into the sea, but he kept him alive, maybe deep down he did love him or the love for Joanna was too strong so he kept at least one more memory of her alive

Maybe. Tywin was a dirty skank, das all I know.
I guess we'll see, or maybe it'll always remain a mystery.

kii at all the cersei stans saying ''yassss queen, BURN THEM hihihihi'' when she's obviously gonna die next season
I love Margaery but she's lucky she made it as long as she did. In the grand scheme of things she's rather irrelevant and Cersei is one of the major players in the series.
I lowkey stan Cersei simply because I haven't seen a more nuanced, thrilling villain in a very long time. Her precipitous decline actually made her coup in the finale something to root for.

Does anyone else feel like we were sort of robbed of the satisfaction of seeing The Faith Militant fall? Their rise was so slow and infuriating so it would've been nice to see them suffer a bit, too.
