Onyanko's debut album is too idol for my taste (though now I see why they are called the original AKB, the latter borrowing mostly the boring parts), the individual members (Shizuka Kudo, Kawai) have better material.

Onyanko have some cute sings here and there (Seaside Session ) but mostly the solo/subunit material is better.

iirc Aki P is the mastermind behind both Onyanko and the AKB franchise so obviously they'll be some similarities.

Because this thread is in a state of most of our faves careers (inactive wither a few occasional updates here and there), I wanna start one of my rate ideas but idk which one to start so I'll just list my ideas and y'all can choose which one you wanna do rn as I have time to prepare as I don't move to uni for a while yet, bare in mind each one will be done in three parts:

1- Female vocal bands rate (example artists include ELT, Globe, The Brilliant Green)

2- Underrated female flops (example artists Chara, Kavka Shishido, Kaela Kimura)

3- Idol group rate (this is where the 3 parts thing really helps, first part would be 48/46, second would be H!P and third would be others such as E-Girls and there groups, Especia, etc)

So yeah have fun with that I guess.
