It's literally homage. She's referencing Vogue and Madonna brilliantly, it's supposed to look similar. Granted the overall tone of the video was dark and off-putting next to the song, but it makes no sense to criticize it being like Vogue in that section when it's entirely deliberate.

It's a shame really, Gaga's Madonna references pre-BTW era were done better than any of the other girls could ever attempt.

This always bothered me. The references were so in-your-face... clearly she did it on purpose.

I hope in like 10/15 years she does a boxset of her albums and fixes production issues (particularly on Born This Way and ARTPOP). So we could get explicit Born This Way, finally

I mean, I was listening to TF earlier and the way instruments travel from the left channel to the right channel is so advanced - Summerboy and Disco Heaven demonstrate this perfectly. I thought that was what she meant when she said we'd need headphones for ARTPOP.

ARTPOP's production is mostly perfect though, I feel like just MJH is a little noisy/busy but that doesn't make me like the song any less. I actually think it may have been a creative decision to channel the feeling of being high. I've never been high though so I don't know

The vinyl was not pressed using the original masters. I think they just took the CD and etched it on to the vinyl like they did with The Fame Monster (a lot of audiophiles have claimed this and do NOT recommend the TFM LP at all). I don't have the ARTPOP vinyl to tell you for sure.

Even one of her best stage pieces, the firework bra, is an extension of the Madonna cone bra but taking it to a new level. It's referencing her brilliantly again, but now it's viewed as "OMFG copy I can't even Xerox ha!1!"

ARTPOP deserved so much more in general, not only platinum in the US. I believe it's stuck at 730 or 750 k so platinum is def out of reach, sadly.

It's sad that ARTPOP is stuck at 750k in the US but can't go platinum, if an album flopped it will sell 200k to 500k maximum, but ARTPOP was on it's way for that platinum certification but the era was a mess, it killed all the chances.

Yeah, it would go plat if DWUW had the video and if there would be another semi successful single released. Neither happened, so it is what it is.
