Why complicate something that doesn't need to be? The existing sections cover everything we need on ATRL. Adding another section would just create an overlap, and cause confusion for content creators. A vote for the Otters is a vote against additional clutter that no one wants or needs.

The foundations of our great forum hinges on our freedom of thought, and our right to express our thoughts in a manner that we see fit. To shut No Holds Barred is unnecessary intervention from our moderators police our thoughts, all under the assumption that we would be unable to deal with the consequences - we are capable of taking responsibility for our own actions, and don't need a nanny state to tell us otherwise.

The proliferation of warning points has been an absolute epidemic - mere dislike of the latest garbage from one of ATRL's leading ladies is enough to warrant bans that can separate friends for months on end. As a party of unity, we believe that the preservation of friendships is the most important objective of all, as it is the basis upon which this website was founded, and we will do everything in our power to fight from those among us who have ever been torn apart by the liberal, over-sensitive agenda.

Whilst it's always nice to have a throwback, we believe that our continued prosperity as a forum can only be ensured by keeping an eye firmly on the future. Retro is an unnecessary harbinger of times long gone, and we believe that we have to give this forum a new lick of paint in order to shed it's skin and become a community transcending the trappings of the past.

Everywhere you go, cardboard-cutouts masquerading as forums have sprung up like a disease without a cure. These forgettable wannabes have only accentuated what has made ATRL so special - our unique layout, and the way that it caters to the community. To lose this is to lose our culture, all in the pursuit of keeping up with the latest trends. Sure, minor updates to keep our forum up and running are necessary, but wholesale renovation would result in the total loss of our traditions.

On the surface we are but furry beasts. But underneath layers of majestic brown fur lie a fire and a thirst for progress in an attempt to create an ATRL greater than the world has ever known. Alone, we represent independence and tenacity in a way the otters could never, but together we are a force for change as we strive to become the pinnacle of sites.
As the Otters mercilessly strive to fight against new section rights, we aim to provide equal representation throughout the site and those bottom feeding k-pop stans need SOMEWHERE to go. In creating safe sections for all of our members we both rid the useful sections of filth (vegan section ftw) and make the site a more desirable place for both current and future members.
In addition to creating smaller sections to filter out minor filth among us, our goal is to prevenT further filth from infesting the site. No Holds Barred was deleted for a reason, and as the wise say, "fat deleted must not be regained" -Kelly Clarkson, 2012. We are not a regressive party and will not stoop to the level NHB requires.
The bears are known as a "big moderation" party. In addition to supporting our men in blue, we believe more warning points should be given out and more WP categories should be added (annoying Gaga stanning and lack of taste, for example).
Although we all believe Retro to be a shady character, constantly flip flopping on issues such as faves, avis, and usernames, he knows how to get things done. Statistically, he is one of the most effective mods on the site and has never gone inactive *cough Bloomers/MARC cough*.
Lastly, the bears wish to move ATRL into a new generation of love and acceptance. As high profile ATRL+ members, many of us have seen the new site ourselves and have realized that the new ATRL is simultaneously love, life, and ARTPOP. Good things take time, and as we enter this new era the bears wish to bring talent into a new age. Follow your bearow with us into the future.
